Xia Chunyu raised his hand to stop him from continuing. “Your Highness thinks too much. That girl is dead from the war. I was just being cautious so I came here to ask about it.”

Prefecture Wei secretly relaxed. The memory of holding Ye Jinxuan before when she was still a baby, drove a twinge of pity in his heart. He was sorry for the girl, but it was for the best. She had already lived among the bandits and must’ve already lost her virginity. How could she face the rest of the world? Servants came in and announced that the lunch was ready.
