“If I can only live like this in the future, I wish to join your family,” said Carl.
Molly choked, then after a momentary silence, said, “I don’t have any mates yet. I don’t want something like this.”
Although she had developed some fondness towards him, she couldn’t forget the fact that she was the one who made him lose his only chance to have a spouse. She couldn’t be so big-hearted as to let this person stay in her home.
“I can wait,” Carl said instantly, and his body subconsciously lurched forward.
