It was at this time that Feng Jing suddenly stopped walking in front of him, making his guard.

Feng Jing took the lead and entered the room with relaxed steps, behind Bai Yuyan keeping his head low imitating the timid personality of Bai Yuyan. But in the corner of his eyes, he was observing the men inside the room.
Looking around he saw a few seniors and a few years older than them, a soldier who had similar features as Feng Jian watching him. Bai Yuyan recognized who this character was.
Bai Yuyan's thoughts, 'That's Feng Yang. The Major General that leads the Phoenix Brigade. I heard that he is supposed to be Feng Jing's older brother.'
"Xiao Jing, come here and seat with big brother," said Feng Yang with a doting expression on his face but when those crimson eyes landed on his being, he felt a sharp yet discerning gaze on him. He felt like a predator was looking at him as prey.
'Tsk! Obviously, everyone in this room is all stronger men but how come they were looking at me like I stole something from them.' Bai Yuyan's thoughts.
Only then did he notice that Feng Jin didn't walk over towards his big brother as he was called inside his sleeves were held and he was pulled over by the innocent Feng Jing towards the dean.
"Grandpa Astra, this Bai Yuyan. He is among the top 5 most outstanding students in the academy." Introduced Feng Jing happily obviously didn't notice the elders' criticizing gaze they've given the child from before.
Their expression instantly turned friendly while looking at Feng Jing. Just seeing this reaction is enough to know how important Feng Jing is to these seniors before him.
But the Mercenary King understood their reactions, 'With an innocent little rabbit-like this its normal for the people of his family to thoroughly check on the people approaching their treasure. Else they wouldn't even know when someone kidnapped this precious little Feng of theirs.'
Bai Yuyan followed the memories he got from the original and saluted towards the senior before him in the way he remembers. He lowered his back and bowed down as he placed a fist above his heart.
"Student Bai greets all the seniors!"
"Un. We heard everything from Xiao Jing. This old man, apologies for getting you involved in our youngest silliness. We hope you don't mind." says Feng Xuan, the patriarch of Feng Clan.
Bai Yuyan respectfully replies, "Please don't worry seniors. Bai Yuya doesn't mind. It was this student who took advantage of Young Lord Feng. Please punish me!"

Feng Jing glances at Bai Yuyan with a helpless expression, he didn't want him to get scolded.
At least that's how our mc is acting out his innocent facade.

Bai Yuyan took his acting seriously. He lightly pats the back of this silly young lord indicating that he should go to his elder brother's side and that he would be okay.

Feng Jing reluctantly nods his head towards Bai Yuyan and walks towards Feng Yang as he was told to do so. After sitting on the couch beside his brother Feng Jing can only keep his mouth shut.
The dean who was smiling suddenly gestured for Student Bai to sit at the empty single couch. Once Bai Yuyan is seated the conversation finally restarted. What the Mercenary king didn't know is that the senior had only calmed down when they smelled the scent of the guide on him. As long as this child is a guide, the probability of their little darling being kidnapped in the future is lessened.
"Student Bai, this old man had already heard your situation from Xiao Jing. Please don't worry. Those teachers who extort you of your allowance and those behind them would definitely be punished." said Dean Astra.
Bai Yuyan, "Thank you, Dean, Seniors."
Xue Xia is observing the child in front of him. The more he looks the more he likes him, "Child, did you just awaken as a Guide?"

Join the military and they would provide it for you. Enter the Guide Tower and sign a contract with them and you'll receive a monthly supply for it in exchange for helping with mania cleansing. Lastly, you could work for the palace or nobles. They would provide you mist perfume as long as you join their faction.
But obviously, this child in front of them had just awakened lately. Since he is still a young man, clearly no one told him about this kind of thing.
Dean Astra spoke, "Child calm down. There is a reason why we knew that you had awakened. There is a scent coming from you. This pheromone can only be smelled by Sentinels and Guides. In this room, everyone here is not an ordinary person. Normally, we could perceive it."

Bai Yuyan received the perfume but he still held a discerning expression on his face. He knew that no one would be this kind to a stranger unless... they need something from him.
Student Bai asked, "What do you wish for me to do?"
Feng Xuan, "Heh~ smart. You are indeed not bad. Our request is simple. Protect Feng Jing when he is far away from us. You know that he is unawakened.
The duration should be until Xiao Jing had awakened at least. It would take that long. He should be awakening within this month or so. You can protect him for at least that long."
"In exchange, we provide you with necessities like that masking perfume and allows you free access in the training rooms and all the facilities in the academy for a month as well. How about it, Student Bai?" asked Feng Yang.
The former mercenary king had observed each and everyone's expression and even asked his quantum beast to check whether they were lying. Among them, only the sleepy Feng Jing seems to be detached from the conversation inside the room.

[It can be bought but it needs astronomical star coins to do so. It is a product made by Spirit brewers. It is extremely expensive unless you hire a Spirit Brewer to make it for you. The Feng Clan has one. They could provide you enough.
Master demands a bottle each day. A month's worth of perfume is enough to last for at least two years at most.]
Bai Yuyan looks at Feng Yang and waves the bottle of mist perfume in front of him, "A bottle of this daily for a month."
"Agreed. I shall send 30 bottles of mist perfume for your use," said Feng Yang who readily accepted this condition for this child to protect his younger brother while in the academy.
Bai Yuyan nods his head, "I agree to this mission."
With this Bai, Yuyan becomes Feng Jing's secret bodyguard in the academy. As an awakened Guide he should be able to protect Feng Jing against the other student unless the enemy is stronger than him. His overall potential is S for now after all.
