Feng Jing is talking about the only failure of his life which resulted in Ye Xiejia's current state.
System Yue cannot understand why his host is doing this. He would never risk his life for the lives of others. Does this mean his host is like Feng Clan and his current family right now? But this is impossible, the only person outside the Mo Family that he could love like this is his Lord God.
Ever since his memories had returned, his host is showing too many emotions I've never seen before. It's unbelievable but what he is seeing right now is the truth. Feng Jing sighed and walked towards the couple. He had entered his own barrier while pulling over the Marshal with him lest the latter gets angry from getting ignored. It is better to drag him in with him. They are already a pair anyway, other Guide's pheromones would no longer affect his husband. Seating in front of Xue Ying and Lin Yven, are Feng Jing and the Marshal who sat down together with his lover.
Feng Jing didn't look at his elder cousin as the decision to accept the rebirth is for Lin Yven to decide.
"Yven, I'm sure you already know about your state. I could mostly guess what happened. If you used the flare I gave you means that the traitor's target must have been me."
Lin Yven smiled and silently showed his agreement to Feng Jing's words. Feng Jing could only sigh when he saw his newly admitted aide's expression. He placed his hand above Lin Yven's chest and used the blood element to activate his genes. This would increase the speed of healing of his body. This one action of Feng Jing is a lot more effective than the healing concoctions. Lin Yven's complexion looks a bit rosy and the latter no longer feels the pain in his physical body but Lin Yven still feels weak because of his broken spiritual domain.
"Thank you, Lord Jing," said Lin Yven as he could feel his body getting better.
Feng Jing reprimands him, "I allowed you to be alone but I never ordered you to risk your life. Etoile, you didn't stop him?"
Suddenly Lin Yven's communicator vibrates and glows on its own. A star avatar A.I. appeared.
[C-Creator? Etoile is sorry... But Host Lin Yven made this choice and Etoile did his best to explain the consequence but... he still decided to take the risk as that human villain is targeting the creator so... So Etoile... agreed to Host Lin Yven's request...]
Everyone who didn't know about Etoile's existence was stunned by how human-like this AI is. It is supposed to be an Artificial Intelligence whose only advantage is the high intelligence of a machine but this one is not like that. It can speak on its own. Think on its own and make decisions on its own. It could even express emotions like happiness, fear, and more.
But no one asks what it is for now as the case of Lin Yven is urgent.
Feng Jing said, "Yven before we begin there is something you need to know. Every rebirth had its own disadvantages. Though it is indeed able to reconstruct your body, it will only seal your past memories. This means you will not remember your life as the current Lin Yven once you wake up. Not your former name, not your current family which is the Lin Clan, and not even us this includes me, Solaris Vega, and everyone in your current life. Once Lin Yven heard this his eyes widened in shock and looked at his elder brother not far from him and then to Xue Ying who had a guilty face. He knew about this as he had experienced it first hand. His grandfather Xue Xia had accidentally died once with Old Master Feng Xuan in one of the wars in the past. When they got reborn except for those with direct bloodline who could retain their memories, his Granduncle Xia took years before the seals in his memories were unlocked by him.
Xue Ying said, "This is true. When my granduncle Xia was reborn once, he didn't remember anyone except for his husband. It took years before he started remembering us. It's a bit hard to be treated as a stranger but we were able to bear it because at the very least Granduncle is still alive."
"I will forget my own family. My grandfather, father, mother, and elder brother?" said Lin Yven.
"It is temporary but... Yes, you would forget about them," said Xue Ying. "But... I want you to accept rebirth. Yve, in this current era there is still no one who could cure someone's broken spiritual domain. The other case of this ended with those who suffer the same thing into madness. I want to be alive. His cousin, Feng Jing is right. The decision to enter rebirth is always on the one who will be undergoing it. His granduncle did the same thing. At that time there is no one more important to his granduncle than his husband and accepted rebirth without a second thought. This is because they loved each other for a long time. It is understandable that his granduncle will pick his husband above anyone else.
But Lin Yven's case is different. They like each other. This is true but the time they have spent as lovers is very short. Not even a day had passed since he realized his feelings though Lin Yven did like him for years, there were too many misunderstandings between them. He is not confident enough that his beloved would choose him over his own family.
When Lin Yven saw the expression of insecureness on Xue Ying's face, he understood what his man was thinking right now. He then glanced at his elder brother who was smiling in the distance and suddenly gave him a nod. He knew that Lin Tian, this elder brother of his, would most likely accept his rebirth more than his death.
Lin Yven asked his lord, "My Lord, will my memories really return after a few years?"
"Yes. It would be uncomfortable for you when your memories start to return but... it would be unlocked fully afterward," said Feng Jing.
Lin Yven thinks about it for a while, making Xue Ying unease. His hands holding Lin Yven slightly tighten as if he is afraid that the one in front of him would suddenly take his last breath, Lin Yven noticed this small action of his and smiled at Xue Ying.
"Then... I will accept. A'Ying, mark me," said Lin Yven with a gentle smile on his face.
The words he had said were like words coming from an angel to Xue Ying's ears. His tears couldn't help but fall as he once again pulled Lin Yven for a kiss. This kiss lasted for a while that the Marshal felt envious of. He hugs Feng Jing's waist and suggestively says that he wants a kiss too. Feng Jing narrowed his eyes on his husband and pinched his waist which signifies that he doesn't agree.
Hmph! Feng Jing chooses to ignore his lover leaving the marshal to lower his head on Feng Jing's shoulder pouting silently. After all, it's been a while since they've shared a kiss after the Marshal had made his wife angry. Since he can't kiss, he can only back hug Feng Jing tightly in his embrace. After making his wife angry once, the marshal never did anything Feng Jing didn't want to.
Feng Jing also realized this and leaned on his lover to let him hug him more comfortably. He is still not willing to forgive this fool so easily lest he wouldn't learn at all.
Between Xue Ying and Lin Yven's marking, there weren't any hot scenes exchanged as they were running out of time. Xue Ying could only bite the nape of his beloved while allowing his pheromones to ease the pain his lover is suffering from. Once they were done, Feng Jing took each of their hands and made a cut that mirrors each other. He made a use of the wound on each other allowing their blood to mix.
Xue Ying frowned for a bit and said, "Xiao Jing, what are you planning to do?"
"Mixing bloodlines. That way the possibility of retaining Lin Yven's memories is higher because I will use you as the catalyst to awaken them. Or do you not agree about this?" said Feng Jing as he looked seriously at his elder cousin.
Xue Ying happily grinned after knowing what his cousin had in plan. "Hehe~ go ahead, Xiao Jing."
Feng Jing rolled his eyes at him and look at Lin Yven, "The process to mix your bloodlines will be a bit painful and just ahead up, this means your future son or daughter would be born will be possessing the highest purity bloodlines of your families like me..." an evil smile appeared on Feng Jing stunning the two couple speechless.
They wanted to say something to Feng Jing but an unbearable pain hit their bodies making them unable to hold back their voices to scream. Even the veteran soldier like Lieutenant General Xue Ying couldn't hold back his voice.
Feng Jing had transferred more pain to his elder cousin than to the injured Lin Yven, so he knew why his elder cousin could not stop his screaming.
"Bear with it, Ying-gege. I've passed most of Yven's pain to you as his vessel is too weak to bear it. I'm sorry~" said Feng Jing.
Amid his pain, Xue Ying still gave his cousin a thankful smile as the former knew that he wouldn't agree to let Lin Yven bear this much pain. He is willing to carry all the pain for both of them. As his mind slowly calms down, his pain tolerance increases as well. Now Xue Ying no longer screams but just grits his teeth in silence. Lin Yven on the other hand reaches out towards Xue Ying and hugs his neck. The pain in his body was tolerable but he couldn't stop himself from trembling.
The pain lasted for half an hour until a pair of small phoenix wings appeared behind Lin Yven's back and a feather insignia appeared on his forehead. It means that Feng Jing successfully mixed three bloodlines of Xue, Feng, and Lin.
Once the phoenix bloodline successfully awakened on Lin Yven, Feng Jing finally stopped what he was doing. By controlling the blood elements he made sure that Xue Ying and Lin Yven's bloodline mixed to share his cousin's dormant phoenix bloodline in him to his lover. Mixing bloodlines is usually considered forbidden in any world, as mixing bloodlines means creating something that should be existing. Someone, not the world, had created himself. It is a taboo that is not accepted by the heavenly laws.
The backlash Feng Jing received from going against heaven's law intentionally made the current vessel he had to decline. His current vessel is still after all an original object created by the world he is in right now. It is not his real body so he couldn't avoid the consequence of doing something forbidden.
The moment he fell into his husband's embrace, he pushed Xue Ying and Lin Yven away from them. The sky above Feng Jing and the Marshal suddenly turn dark and the sounds of thunder can be heard looming over the couple.

At this moment everyone's expression turned serious. They looked at the dark sky above and felt that things were not going to end well.
"What is happening!? Is that thunder?!"
"But why only in this area...!!!"
"Why does it feel that this thunder is targeting someone intentionally!??"
Panicked engulfs everyone's heart and among them only Feng Jing and the Marshal were calm. Feng Jing was looking at his lover with a smile and the marshal only needed to see this expression to understand who the target of those thunder was. The Marshal's heartbeats quicken with this realization and at the same time, he feels something bad is going to happen.
Marshal Sirius and System Yue yelled at the same time when they saw what Feng Jing did next. This beast is too beautiful, a huge phoenix yet possesses scales and features of a dragon mixed within its bloodline. As soon as Feng Jing had his Reine pushed away from the marshal and System Yue he suddenly started coughing blood.
Cough! COUGHED! A mouthful of blood came out of his mouth which tainted his clothes and dyed them in crimson. He nonchalantly wipes the blood with his trembling hands and looks at his bloodied hand.
"Urk! Ha~ This vessel is much weaker than the former ones. Is it because it has undergone rebirth multiple times every time this world is a hard reset."

"I'm fine, Reine. It would return to normal soon," murmured Feng Jing as he pats the head of his Phoenix-Dragon Hybrid quantum beast.

"JING'ER!!" Yelled Marshal Sirius as he tried to return to his lover's side only to be blocked where he is right now. When they tried to approach Feng Jing an invisible barrier blocked their path.

He even summoned his quantum beast the Black Dragon King to help him break the barrier. "Roi, destroy the barrier!" commanded the marshal.
ROOAAR~ The dragon howls in the sky as he breathes out fire towards the barrier but it only shows ripples on it and not even a scratch can be seen. When the Marshal was flung out just now, System Yue was thrown out at the same time.
"No. no. Please don't do this, Lord Hei. Your vessel wouldn't be able to block the heavenly tribulation."
In his panic, System Yue materialized in his human form as Zhi Yue out of nowhere with fear and panic in his eyes. Seeing the current situation right now, he knew his host was letting his Lord God feel what Lord Hei had felt when he heard that his Lord God had gone to the enemies alone without telling him a thing. The panic and fear that filled his host's heart at that time, Lord Hei wanted his Lord God to feel it as well.
Everyone had no time to notice when Zhi Yue appeared as they were all trying to destroy the barrier to get Feng Jing out of there. After all, the center of that barrier was the target of the thunder converging above the sky.
But the Marshal heard what Zhi Yue had yelled just now. He grabbed Zhi Yue and asked, "What is happening? Yue! tell me what is happening right now?!" asked the Marshal.
Zhi Yue who was suddenly grabbed by his collar had a hard time breathing but thankfully his body is still of God. A mortal like the Marshal would not really be able to harm him at all.
"Isn't this your fault!?" bellowed Zhi Yue as he glared at him supposed to be boss and pushed away his hand. "If you had allowed me to inform my lord that night about what you had planned then you wouldn't have fallen in the brinks of death and Lord Hei wouldn't be untrusting towards me as well. You are the only reason why he exists in this world. But what is he supposed to do if you don't even treat your own life as important."
Zhi Yue had finally lost it when he saw his host's state. That paleness is caused by a lack of blood. Feebleness that he couldn't stand up on his own and that pool of blood that came out from his own mouth.
"What should I do? If the host's soul got exhausted in this world again like the one from last, his cultivation would not only get weaker. We also wouldn't be able to enter a high-ranked world to heal his soul. Should I tell Lord An Liang about this? But if I do I might alert some enemies... AH~ Lord God when are you going to wake up!!!" yelled Zhi Yue totally forgetting where he is right now as his gaze is only at his suicidal host inside the barrier.

Zhi Yue couldn't understand why his extremely intelligent host acted this unreasonable. For some so smart as Lord Hei, there is no way he would make this kind of action which is an embodiment of someone being foolish. Someone of this structure had never acted this way before. He is also the infamous God of Destruction, someone who is merciless and ruthless to both his enemies and those who try to harm him.
But unfortunately, the one who had made him like this is the only person he loves the most. The only man who was able to move his cold heart and melt so it could once again start beating. His host, Lord Hei, is someone feared yet revered by everyone from the world they came from. He is a top-tier God who possesses the immortality that every cultivator wants to have. He is like an untouchable being. Someone, they could only look up to, a person to only stare from a distance.
When Zhi Yue meets his host for the first time, he is like what he had imagined. Cold and aloof, his eyes were looking at you but you can feel that his sight was never on you. He is never interested in things that aren't fun. To this immortal which is almost known as an Evil God, no one would think there would be another person who can move his feelings.
At first, his care for his Lord God's soul fragments is only an obsession for that sudden warmth that was given to him by his Lord God's love for him. No one knew why and how they ended up like that. The attraction they feel for each other is sudden for Zhi Yue but as they spend more time in each world, a hidden secret that no one would expect to suddenly come out little by little.
When Zhi Yue witnessed his host, Lord Hei Anjing unsealed his full memories in exchange for his life, he felt fear for the first time. To Zhi Yue's eyes, Lord Hei Anjing's existence is close to permanent existence; no one is there that is able to harm him. He is one of the strongest beings that existed in Vearth.
A single stabbed in the heart, blood flowing continuously but this beautiful yet cold person only had his eyes closed as if he was sleeping. Zhi Yue had witnessed Lord Hei Anjing's breathing stop as his eyes turned dull before it closed completely. His heartbeat suddenly halted and his serene appearance made him look like in deep slumber. But he knew that at that moment he truly took his last breath and died.
But that Heavenly Willow Tree Deity told him that his lord, Hei Anjing, isn't dead. Except for his Lord God, Ye Xiajie, and the Mo Clan, no one else is able to kill someone from the Mo Bloodline. Even if the Heavenly Willow Tree Deity killed the vessel of Lord Hei Anjing many times, he would definitely come back to life.
At first, Zhi Yue is befuddled. He had never since been a God Cultivator reviving from death before. He felt that his host finally looked a bit like a human yet at the same time not. The feeling of bewitching was what Zhi Yue had thought at that time. He was even rendered speechless when a gentle smile appeared at the corner of Lord Hei Anjing's eyes.
At that point, Zhi Yue knew that his host had changed as for how and which part was changed so he couldn't look through it at first sight. He was only able to understand it in the other worlds he accompanied his host. The feelings of joy, sadness, surprise, and more, everything that solely used to appear in the presence of his Lord God was suddenly experienced by Zhi Yue.
It was surprising in the beginning but Zhi Yue slowly got used to it. As more time in every world was spent together, Zhi Yue's loyalty, which is solely for the Lord God, started to lean more on his host. Even he noticed it, he is not stupid. Zhi Yue felt that this is a betrayal to his Lord God whom he revered and so in this world, he chose to accept all his Lord God's soul fragments orders. Including that night when he was ordered not to report to Lord Hei about their almost suicidal plan of attacking the zergs.
But as a result, not only did his Lord God's soul fragment almost die, his host almost lost control of his feelings, and this world was once again almost destroyed. When his host suddenly got angry at him and scolded him, Zhi Yue regretted it. The trust he had shared with his host was suddenly destroyed with one mistake and because of this Lord Hei started giving his task which would make System Yue be away from his host. Only then did Zhi Yue realize that his choice at that time was wrong. He should have just sided with his host, now his host's sudden suicidal move scared him to death.
These are the heavenly laws of this world. It might be weaker than the Divine Laws but Zhi Yue knew that his host's current cultivation is weaker than it used to be. The former Immortal God not only lost his vessel and his soul injuries never healed no matter what.
