It sounds like a righteous statement, but Hitler also said the same thing when he massacred Jewish people.

“It was me who didn’t expect it.” Ai ShuQiao said furiously, “I don’t care where Ye Lin met those **, but it’s commendable he would kidnap anyone who’s hostile towards him, as expected of my son. Su Qiao never explained why she had to lie low, maybe she thought I already knew everything. I sighed and asked if she wanted me to send her off to the train station.
“No need to trouble you.” Su Qiao lowered her head to me, “It’s already enough you helped me with the contract… and I’m slowly starting to understand a battle between the rich isn’t something I should participate in…”
After making my breakfast for the last time and washing my clothes for the last time, Su Qiao got on the afternoon train home.
