Chapter 730: Mission
Several surprised yet overjoyed faces were seen staring at Lingfeng the Venerable One. Not only Wu Yuanwei and Hong Feiyu, but Multi-armed King Kong and the goshawk, which had been calm all along, also could not help but feel elated.
Powerful formations that cut off spiritual senses were set up on crucial spots on Mount Wuzhi, which was why Multi-armed King Kong and the goshawk could not sense Ou Yangming’s existence.
Nonetheless, they had soul contracts with the young fellow, hence they knew he was at least safe. Even so, they were still surprised when they heard the news about him.
“Sir Venerable One, we’re willing to go and meet him.” Multi-armed King Kong lowered its head as it answered in a deep voice.
Lingfeng the Venerable One looked up at the mountainous spirit beast and asked, “You have the bloodline of the 10,000 Beasts Venerable One. I suppose you gained a lot from your trip to the lower realm this time?”
“The 10,000 Beasts Venerable One?” Hong Feiyu was stunned, and he could not help but gasp. He looked at the king kong in shock.
Multi-armed King Kong did not hide its identity anymore because it knew it would be bringing disgrace on its own head if it still tried to keep it a secret in front of the Venerable One. “Yes, being able to acknowledge Master from my trip to the lower realm this time is my greatest honor.”
Lingfeng the Venerable One grinned. “You have a great eye.”
The king kong smiled but thought, ‘I don’t have such a good eye unlike what you think; it happened because I was forced by Sir Lil’ Red.’
Despite being displeased at the start, after following Ou Yangming for some time, especially after seeing his Thunderbolt-resistant Suit, it submitted itself to him willingly.
Therefore, it was not resentful toward the little red bird anymore, and it was grateful instead.
Lingfeng the Venerable One flapped its sleeves and said, “Alright, go ahead if you want to.” It looked away from the king kong and asked, “Wu Yuanwei, what about you?”
Wu Yuanwei’s face changed, but he immediately answered, “I belong to Mount Wuzhi, so I’ll naturally do as you say, sir.”
The Venerable One nodded as he was satisfied. He expected the others to leave but if Wu Yuanwei also wanted to leave, it would be a slap in his face.
Fortunately, the disciple from the lower realm was still quite sensible and did not do anything overboard.
Nevertheless, the others could not figure out Lingfeng the Venerable One’s thoughts. The formidable Venerable One fell silent for a brief moment and noted, “Cultivate here for half a day, then I’ll send you off.” He later looked deeply at Wu Yuanwei and added, “You’re a disciple from our sect. Since you’re here now, I’ll reward you with a weapon, so come with me.”
Wu Yuanwei widened his eyes as he could not believe what he heard.

Although he was from the lower realm, he knew very well the Venerable One’s status in the Spiritual Realm.

Multi-armed King Kong scoffed all of a sudden and commented, “There’s no need for you to be envious; your turn will come.”
“What?” Hong Feiyu was dumbfounded.
“Since Master allowed you to follow him, he won’t treat you poorly.” The king kong yawned before he continued, “Mount Wuzhi might be an influential clan, but they have numerous disciples. The benefits that you’ll receive in the future won’t be poorer than that of that fella.”
Hong Feiyu smiled bitterly. He was dubious.
He was optimistic about Ou Yangming, but he did not believe that the young fellow could continue his miracles in the lower realm after he entered the Spiritual Realm.
“Idiot, didn’t you see that Sir Venerable One was the one that came to inform us?” The goshawk looked coldly at him. It sneered and explained, “If I’m right, Master must’ve done something shocking, which was why Sir Venerable One came to find us himself. Heh, since Wu Yuanwei was quite close to Master, he might come with us too.”
Hong Feiyu was slightly moved. An unusual luster could be seen in his eyes.
‘Yes, Ou Yangming’s only a Rudimentary Spiritualist. Under normal circumstances, how could Sir Venerable One have come to notify us?’
“What do you think Master Ou did?” He asked eagerly.
Multi-armed King Kong rolled its eyes and answered impatiently, “We’ll find out once we leave this place.”
“Yes.” Hong Feiyu quickly lowered his head. He stole glances at the king kong and was rather bewildered as he thought, ‘If it really has the bloodline of a Venerable One, why did it acknowledge a human from the lower realm as its master?
‘Ah, everything’s such a mess.’ He became more curious about Ou Yangming’s identity.
‘That fella’s probably not an ordinary human from the lower realm…’

In a treasure chamber on Mount Wuzhi, Lingfeng the Venerable One said in a deep voice, “All of the pieces of equipment are at least High Grade magic tools. Go ahead and pick whatever you want.”
“High Grade magic tools!” Wu Yuanwei’s eyes lit up. He expressed his gratitude at once, “Yes, thank you, sir.”
After looking around carefully in the treasure chamber, he finally chose a treasure sword.
He also had the chance to obtain magic tools in the lower realm, but there would only be Common Grade ones, which could not be mentioned on equal terms with High Grade ones.
When Wu Yuanwei was done and returned to Lingfeng the Venerable One, he asked seriously, “Sir, what do you need me to do?”
Since Lingfeng the Venerable One asked for him and bestowed him with a magic tool, there must be a reason. The elder understood this very well because he was also a hero of his generation in the lower realm.

“Oh, that.” The Venerable One stated after some thought, “This is easy—when you see him next time, tell him that the lower realm was opened up because he and Danzhou’s Nine Great Sects joined hands, so all of the sects together and he will take half of the profits each.
“Half…” Wu Yuanwei looked up abruptly as he was in disbelief.
Back then, they did not agree on half of the profits, but only one in a hundredth of everything. Why did the Venerable One suddenly exaggerate things?
Lingfeng the Venerable One added with a straight face, “When he suddenly disappeared from the interspatial passage, he must’ve been frightened, so this will be his compensation.
Wu Yuanwei clacked his tongue and thought, ‘Who are you trying to fool? What kind of compensation is this?’ Having said that, he was not daring enough to say his thoughts out loud.
The Venerable One then said, “Since you have an okay relationship with him, let him know about this once you meet each other. I’m sure I don’t need to teach you what you should do in the future.”
Wu Yuanwei’s eyelids flickered. He was surprised but glad.
Given that Lingfeng the Venerable One suddenly decided to let Ou Yangming have half of the profits, he was unquestionably trying to fawn over the young fellow.

He asked after some thought, “Since you’ve just come from the lower realm, do you have any problems adapting to this place?”
Wu Yuanwei smiled bitterly as he said to himself, ‘We’ve been locked up here for almost half a year, so how could we have not adapted to this place?’ Of course, he would not say that out loud.
“You’ve been suppressing the fate of the lower realm for me for a long time. Now that our realms are connected, you should be credited for your hard work,” Ling Feng the Venerable One noted in a deep voice, “How’s the mini Spiritual Realm now?”
“Sir, don’t worry, the mini Spiritual Realm is continuously absorbing the lower realm’s essences and is slowly growing. That said, we’ll need to wait patiently for it to grow to a certain scale,” Wu Yuanwei answered right away.
Lingfeng the Venerable One chuckled. “It’s a worthy wait, but don’t you regret not being able to control the mini Spiritual Realm anymore?”
Wu Yuanwei grinned. “Sir, I naturally regret it. Nonetheless, if I keep staying there, even if I’m able to control the forces of nature and transfer the universe’s spiritual power, my cultivation base won’t advance.”
A look of praise was finally seen in the Venerable One’s eyes. After all, one would only have a promising future if one perceived that, but very few people could walk out of the fact of having control over the mini Spiritual Realm.

Wu Yuanwei pondered for a while then blurted, “Sir, if we really want to be friends with Master Ou, I can’t do it alone. If we can bring 2 people from the lower realm here, he’ll surely be grateful.”
“Oh, are there such people? Who are they?”
“One of them is Old Craftsman, who’s Master Ou’s foster father when he was younger. The man has a low cultivation base, but he has a high level of attainment in smithing art.” Wu Yuanwei paused for a moment before he continued, “As for the other person, it’s my granddaughter, Wu Hanning. She… And Master Ou are close to each other.”
Lingfeng the Venerable One’s eyes gleamed. He curled his lips into a faint smile and said, “Okay, I’ll make the necessary arrangements. As for how we’ll become close friends with Master Ou during the early phase, it’ll be up to you.”
Wu Yuanwei stuck out his chest and assured the Venerable One. “Yes, I’ll fulfill my mission for sure.”
