Book 7: Chapter 123: Counter attack of the two empires
Since the two Arch Magi had been repelled from Mero City, Mero City’s situation became a bit strange.
After half a month, the Candra Empire hadn’t made any moves at all.
There were no armies that came to recapture Mero City and the Candra Empire didn’t send any more reinforcements. Even the elite magicians squad that the Candra Empire army had sent had mysteriously disappeared without a trace one morning.
There was only the army of fifty thousand sent by the southwest province’s Governor Manor that conscientiously stayed five kilometers away, but they didn’t show any intentions of attacking Mero City.
If they ignored the fifty thousand people, the current Mero City seemed like it had been forgotten by the Candra Empire and was exceptionally tranquil.
But outside Mero City, the situation of the continent wasn’t calm and was becoming more and more intense.
On October 13th, the first cold wind that represented the winter came from the north. The Marlow Empire gathered the Falk Kingdom’s remnant army in the Marlow Empire to attack the land that the Drake Duchy had seized from the original Falk Kingdom.
In this battle, three Arch Magi of the Marlow Empire had directly entered the war.
The three Arch Magi gave the reason that the Drake Duchy was invading them and they would only help the Falk Kingdom reclaim their territory, restoring their nation, so this would be considered a “righteous war”.
Because of the three Arch Magi, even if the Drake Duchy’s armies were equipped with large amounts of military magic machines, they couldn’t stop the powerful attacks of the three Arch Magi and were pushed back again and again.
At the same time, the Marlow Empire army also attacked the land that used to belong to the Falk Kingdom to the east, the land that was currently being held by the Lampuri Kingdom.
This army was even stronger than the one that attacked the Drake Duchy. There were over two hundred thousand troops that had a total of five hundred High Grade Magicians, along with twenty eight Great Magicians, as well as having four Arch Magi leading them.

October 15th, two days after the Marlow Empire and Falk Kingdom armies attacked the Lampuri Kingdom and the Drake Kingdom, the Candra Empire suddenly sent out a large army that went in three different paths. There were a total of one hundred and fifty thousand troops that entered the land that used to belong to the Falk Kingdom, but was currently controlled by the Lampuri Kingdom to the west.
They coordinated with the further north Marlow Empire and Falk Kingdom army. There were over three hundred and fifty thousand troops that entered this area and among them were a large number of magicians from both the Candra and Marlow Empires, even having a total of six Arch Magi.
The difference in troops was too much and the Lampuri Kingdom didn’t put up much resistance as they were pushed back three hundred kilometers in just five days.
Adding in the land that they had ceded to the Marlow Empire and Falk Kingdom army previously, in less than ten days of fighting, the Lampuri Kingdom had already lost close to half of the land they had seized from the Falk Kingdom.
Another two armies from the Candra Empire went from the south, invading the Rudson Kingdom again.
This time, the Candra Empire didn’t send their full army and advance steadily into the Rudson Kingdom like the previous two times, rather they only sent out fifty thousand elite light cavalry. They didn’t have the goal of seizing territory or cities, but rather they targeted the mines in the Rudson Kingdom.
Because the light cavalry was as fast as the wind and was very flexible, and since the Rudson Kingdom didn’t have enough guards, the fifty thousand light cavalry used less than a week to hit thirteen mines in the Rudson Kingdom, completely crippling the operation of those mines.
Among those mines, five of them belonged to the Frestech Chamber of Commerce. Among the remaining eight, six of them were mines that the Rudson Kingdom and the Frestech Chamber of Commerce developed together.
The final Candra Empire army went from the southeastern corner of the Candra Empire and invaded the Drow Race Kingdom controlled by the Frestech Chamber of Commerce.
With the appearance of this large kingdom, the Drow Race all over the Drow Race Kingdom erupted in riots.
Almost all of the Frestech Chamber of Commerce’s facilities in the Drow Race Kingdom were wrecked and other than the capital Drow City being protected by the nearby Frestech Chamber of Commerce guard base, all the other regions of the Drow Race Kingdom fell into chaos and broke free of the Frestech Chamber of Commerce’s control.
However, the Candra Empire army didn’t attack the Frestech Chamber of Commerce guard base near Drow City like many people expected. Instead they headed south and invaded the Wales Duchy.
Although the Wales Duchy had received many military magic machines from the Frestech Chamber of Commerce, they were only a weak duchy. They had few troops and weak backing, so they couldn’t resist the Candra Empire army at all.
With the attack of the Candra Empire army, the Wales Duchy army was defeated. Most of their territory was seized by the Candra Empire army, only the southern port hadn’t fallen to the enemy yet.
While the west and middle parts of the Sines Continent were bustling, the east wasn’t idle.
October 27th, when the Candra Empire army invaded the Wales Duchy in the east, the Mana Magic Kingdom and the other thirteen countries that had signed the agreement with the two empires united under the slogan “restoring the order of the continent”, and “reclaiming the seized territory of invaded countries” sent out an army of three hundred thousand troops to invade the Nozdormu Business Union Kingdom and the southwest countries.
In this allied army, not only did the Mana Magic Kingdom’s three Arch Magi join the war, there were even two recluse Arch Magi who announced that they were joining the war.
These five Arch Magi with over a hundred Great Magicians and a large number of High Grade Magicians joined the war. Working with the army of three hundred thousand troops, the Nozdormu Business Union’s army of less than one hundred and thirty thousand troops seemed much weaker.
Even if the Nozdormu Business Union Kingdom had been buying many military magic machines from the Frestech Chamber of Commerce over the years, only one third of their army was fully equipped, so their overall power couldn’t match the enemy.
After the fight started, the Nozdormu Business Union Kingdom was defeated again and again.
Until they finally withdrew to their own territory and with the help of the Magic City Defense System the Frestech Chamber of Commerce had set up, they were able to stop them from pushing forward.
But based on the power of the two sides, the Nozdormu Business Union Kingdom already didn’t have a chance to fight back.
Once the enemy Arch Magi tore away all face and broke the unwritten rule that “no Arch Magi could invade another country”, the Nozdormu Business Union Kingdom would definitely be in danger.
Two months ago, the continent had been shocked by the news that the Candra Empire and the Marlow Empire had been repelled after invading the Rudson Kingdom and the Drake Duchy respectively.

But now that the two empires had actually caught up in strength, obtaining these magnificent victories and pushing back the Frestech Chamber of Commerce’s camps, not allowing them to show any strength.
The public opinion once again changed directions.
Almost everyone was singing praises for the two empires, stating that the two empires represented tradition on the continent.

The reason was that the two empires had launched a fierce counterattack in the past two months which caused heavy setbacks for the Frestech Chamber of Commerce camp, so people naturally had their confidence shaken.
To change the ideas of the people, there was only one method which was to use facts, or rather to use force.
As long as he could smash the two empires, then the public opinion of the Sines Continent would change again.
