Chapter 108 – Did You Hide A Gigolo In Your Room
"Can I not answer?" Jiang Ruolan smiled and walked over to him. She looked at the photo frame that had been placed on the bedside table and took it.
She gently stroked it with her hand. "No matter what my previous life was like, it was my past. I wanted to move on and look forward to the next day with joy instead of wasting time remembering the past."
Xian Zihao pursed his lips and didn't say a word.
"He should be asleep by now. I'll go pour a cup of tea to get rid of your hangover." Jiang Ruolan decided to change the topic and walked out.
Ten minutes later, she walked back to the bedroom with the freshly brewed Awakened Tea. Xian Zihao was already sitting on the edge of the bed, leaning his head against the headboard. He seemed to have fallen asleep.
Jiang Ruolan was stunned for a moment before hurriedly walking towards him. She carefully placed the cup on the table and observed him under the dim light of the bedside lamp.
She saw that he had fallen asleep. Jiang Ruolan carefully pulled the thin blanket and lightly covered Xian Zihao's body. Her movement didn't wake him up.
Xian Zihao seemed to have something on his mind today. However, he was still as calm and unfathomable as before, making it difficult for people to see through him. The coldness around him was also much stronger than before.
Silence reigned in the dark bedroom. Jiang Ruolan lowered her head and looked at the photo frame beside her without moving for a long time.

A knock on the door awakened Jiang Ruolan.
She suddenly opened her eyes and sat up. Xian Zihao, who was sleeping on the other side, also lifted his hand to rub his forehead that was sore from the hangover last night.
He opened his eyes for only a second before turning to look at Jiang Ruolan with a calm expression.
"Jiang Ruolan, where did you put my toothpaste?" Jiang Yijun's voice was accompanied by knocking on the door. After half a minute, when he realized that there was no response from the inside, he began to knock hard. "Jiang Ruolan! Stop sleeping! Come out! Where did you hide the toothpaste?"
Jiang Ruolan's mouth twitched as she stealthily glanced at Xian Zihao's expression. He still had a headache.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Jiang Ruolan whispered and took his hand when she saw him get up from the bed.
"Open the door." Xian Zihao spoke lightly and was about to continue walking towards the door.
"No way! Stop! If he found out that someone had appeared out of nowhere and was staying here for the night, he would definitely be mad!"
As she said that, Jiang Ruolan quickly jumped out of her bed and held Xian Zihao's hand tightly with one hand. Then, she placed her body in front of him to block his path with her other hand. "You can't open the door!"
Xian Zihao frowned. "Jiang Ruolan, sometimes I really can't tell whether you're a coward or not. What's there to be hidden?"
"Who cares if I have the guts! Of course, I have my reasons for not letting him find out that you are here!" Jiang Ruolan looked Xian Zihao in the eye, then turned to look at the door, which had been knocked so hard that it shook.
"Jiang Ruolan? Are you awake? What were you talking about? I didn't hear you clearly!" Jiang Yijun knocked on the door impatiently. He tried to turn the door handle. "I'll come in!"
His hand turned the door handle twice, but he found that the door was locked!
Jiang Yijun's expression froze as he lowered his head to look at the door handle with a strange expression. He then turned it a few times and realized that it was really locked!
'This woman is sleeping in his house, and she dares to lock the door? Who was she defending against?!'

"Jiang Ruolan, open the door!" Jiang Yijun pounded on the door. "Open the door right now! Did you do something shameful? Did you hide a gigolo in your room? Open the door!"
It was originally just a joke from him, but it caused Jiang Ruolan's face to turn deathly pale. Xian Zihao looked at her face expressionlessly. With a cold smile, he pushed her away and went to open the door.
"Don't open it!" Jiang Ruolan quickly raised her hand to stop him.
Jiang Yijun heard her voice, but he can't hear it clearly. He frowned, feeling even weirder. He asked curiously while sticking to the door. "Are you unwell? Why are you speaking so softly? Could you open the door for me? If you are sick, I will take you to the hospital!"
Jiang Ruolan stopped Xian Zihao and shouted at the door, "I'm fine! The toothpaste is in the third box under the washstand. I put it there yesterday and forgot to take it out! I had too much to drink at the party last night, and now my head hurts. I don't want to get up! Don't worry about me!"
Jiang Yijun, who was standing outside the door, dispelled his suspicions when he heard her words. He looked back at the bathroom with the toothbrush without toothpaste in his mouth. Just as he was about to go back and brush his teeth, he heard a strange noise in the room and stopped abruptly.
"Jiang Ruolan, open the door and let me in." Jiang Yijun said lightly as he stood outside her bedroom door.
Jiang Ruolan initially thought that he would honestly go brush his teeth and get ready to go to work, but she didn't expect that he would retreat after just two steps.
Jiang Ruolan immediately raised her hand and scratched her head in annoyance, then glared fiercely at Xian Zihao, who had a calm expression with both hands on his chest, as if he were watching a good show.
