Chapter 143 – Who Gave You The Ring?
Jiang Ruolan blushed in embarrassment as she raised her hand to push Qin Gengxin's head away. He did not mind it and continued to drive while smiling at the green light.
"I really don't understand. Why do you seem to be so deep in love with me out of the blue? Why haven't I seen you like me before? Have you gotten tired of those blonde beauties abroad over the years? As soon as you returned home, you decided to grab hold of a person like me, who was as good as dead! It truly does not follow common sense!"
"When have I ever played cards according to common sense?" Qin Gengxin stared straight ahead with one hand on the steering wheel and the other holding the cigarette. Her body was pulled by him and as she was about to move away, Qin Gengxin lowered his head and looked at her with a face full of suspicion. He lifted her hand and looking at the platinum ring on her ring finger.
"Where did this ring come from?" Qin Gengxin frowned in annoyance when he saw the ring on her ring finger. The ring was extremely eye-catching.
If he hadn't suddenly touched the ring on her finger, he really wouldn't have noticed it just now.
Jiang Ruolan's face stiffened. She quickly retracted her hand, but Qin Gengxin firmly held onto her hand, not allowing her to dodge.
He stood at the elevator door and looked at her with a slightly cold gaze. "Why do I think you suddenly behave strangely? Is there something you are hiding from me? You have a boyfriend? Are you married?"

Jiang Ruolan could only force herself to withdraw her hand. She covered the platinum wedding ring on her ring finger with her hand and stammered, "It's a birthday present Yijun gave me. He bought it for me."
In a split-second, Qin Gengxin frowned. Jiang Ruolan didn't dare to look at Xian Zihao's eyes. She purposely avoided his gaze. She felt as if the air around her had frozen by three feet.
"Jiang Yijun?" Qin Gengxin looked at Jiang Ruolan's hand that was covering the ring like a precious treasure. "Why did he give you that ring?"
"I've never bought any jewelry before. I saw one in a jewelry store and liked it a lot, so Yijun–"
Before she could finish, Secretary Du, who came out with Xian Zihao, suddenly whispered, "President Xian, Chief Zhuan's car is still outside. Didn't you say you want to send him off?"
Qin Gengxin turned around and smiled at Xian Zihao. "Your lunchtime isn't over yet, right? I'll take Ruolan to the private room first and wait for you there."
