Jiang Ruolan was starving. She got up from the couch and went to the kitchen to cook noodles. While waiting for the noodles to cook, Jiang Ruolan's mind went back to the call just now. She had fought for their marriage, so how can she be willing to admit defeat just like that.
She put down the bowl, picked up the phone again, and called Xian Zihao again. This time, the call was connected quickly. It was still Zhou Shufen. "Hello?"
Jiang Ruolan spoke into the phone lightly, "Miss Zhou, three days from now, at 9:58 am, I welcome you to my wedding. The ceremony will be held in the VIP Room on the first floor of the Halcyon Hotel. I will send an invitation card to you tomorrow."
There was a long silence and then a chuckled could be heard. "So it's you, Jiang Ruolan?"
"Don't forget to attend." Jiang Ruolan ignored Zhou Shufen's laughter and politely ended the call.
Maybe Jiang Ruolan was really stupid enough to keep holding in this marriage. Maybe too many people would laugh at the current her but she was too f*cking unwilling to let it go just like that!
When Jiang Ruolan realized she had not taken medicine, she took the bowl and sipped it. She had been drinking this medicine for a few days now. Why did she only realize that the medicine was so bitter that it made people want to cry?
Sister Yanmei finished tidying up the room. After seeing Jiang Ruolan drink the medicine, she reminded her to rest early and left on time.
Instead of going to the bedroom to rest, Jiang Ruolan decided to sit in front of her laptop, completing her report. Suddenly she felt a little dizzy. Jiang Ruolan immediately put the laptop on the sofa, ran into the bathroom, knelt beside the toilet, and vomited. She could not spit anything out, but she really felt very uncomfortable.

Xian took off his coat and threw it on the bed. Jiang Ruolan saw his phone sticking out of the coat's pocket. She didn't understand. Zhou Shufen had clearly answered two calls from her, so how could Xian Zihao be so calm as if nothing had happened?
While Xian Zihao went to the kitchen, Jiang Ruolan took his phone from the pocket and opened it. The two phone calls she made did not exist. Jiang Ruolan was stunned for a moment before she quietly put the phone back into the pocket.
Xian Zihao went back to the bedroom with a plate of sliced fruit. He gave her two pieces first before putting the plate on the stand next to the bed. "Eat this fruit first. This fruit can help relieve your nausea. I saw your laptop on the sofa. Did you play with it?"
Jiang Ruolan nodded as she ate the fruit he handed her. "I only played with it for a short while."
Xian Zihao suddenly became serious. "Didn't I tell you before that even though the laptop has an anti-radiation filter, you still can't touch it? Your unstable pregnancy will get worse and make you dizzy easily. You will vomit more if you keep facing the laptop for a long time."
Seeing Jiang Ruolan eat the fruit without saying anything, Xian Zihao sighed lightly and sat next to her. He gently put his arm around her shoulder and caressed her back, "I'm just worried you'll feel too uncomfortable. I noticed that these days you eat a lot."
Jiang Ruolan just kept silent. This kind of treatment really made her feel that Xian Zihao was very close to her. She only needed to get a little closer and put in a bit more effort, then she would be able to completely seize him and not give him to anyone else. Therefore, she was reluctant to let go. Xian Zihao had finished showering, and by the time he came out from the bathroom, Jiang Ruolan was already curled up in her blanket. At first, he wanted to go to the study room to look at some documents, but seeing Jiang Ruolan's curled up body, he immediately changed his mind.
Xian Zihao took the files with him and lay down next to her. He held her in his arms and flipped through the file while gently patting her back, coaxing her to sleep.
Jiang Ruolan pressed her head against his neck. Xian Zihao turned his head, smiled at her, and gently rubbed his face against hers.
"Zihao."
"Hmm?"
"Sing a song for me."
Unexpectedly, he didn't reject her. Instead, he looked at her with a gentle smile and asked, "What do you want to hear?"
"I don't care, I guess I've never heard you sing any song before. Usually when you go out to socialize, what do you do? You are not like us, who will go to karaoke after a meal."
Xian Zihao did not answer but slowly lifted the blanket from her body.
"I don't even think that you guys will be just like us, ordinary people. In fact, you never did anything romantic for me at all."
Xian Zihao smiled and kissed her cheek. "So are we going to be each other's cabbages?"

The next day, Zhan An came to Greenville Residence and said that even though Jiang Ruolan and Xian Zihao had been married for half a year, according to Chinese customs, the bride and groom could not meet on the day before the wedding took place.
