Chapter 319 – Jiang Ruolan’s Embarrassment
As Xian Zihao had said, the next morning, Jiang Ruolan could not get up at all.
After all, it was the first day of the new year. She didn't want to care about anything right now. She only wanted to spend her day sleeping. Breakfast was about to begin, and she was still curled up in her blanket.
Nanny Cheng has called her several times. Jiang Ruolan claimed that she had overeaten yesterday and now felt uncomfortable. She tried to find an excuse not to get out of bed, especially since she didn't have the strength to do so.
Xian Zihao pushed the door open and entered.
"Get up quickly and let's have breakfast."
"No." Jiang Ruolan covered her head with the blanket and immediately refused. However, her voice was soft as she mumbled softly.
She knew that it was the first day of the new year. Maybe the Old Man and the others were still waiting for her to eat breakfast together, so she did not resist any longer and subconsciously lifted her hands to wrap them around Xian Zihao's neck as he picked her up.
"Today is the first day of the new year." Xian Zihao pulled off the covers from the bed and wrapped them around her body. He gently carried her straight to the bathroom.
Jiang Ruolan curled up in his arms and mumbled, "It's not my fault. You're the one who didn't let me sleep. I'm tired and sleepy."
Xian Zihao chuckled and put her into the bathtub that was filled with hot water. The warm water eased her tired body, and Jiang Ruolan accidentally let out a comfortable moan. Xian Zihao squatted in front of her and helped her take a shower.
When he carried her out of the bathroom, she actually wasn't sleepy anymore. Jiang Ruolan just stayed in his embrace and calmly listened to his steady heartbeat.
An indescribable happiness emerged in her heart. Suddenly, she raised her head and mischievously bit his chin.
Xian Zihao's footstep immediately paused. He looked down at her with a darkened gaze. Jiang Ruolan smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Grandpa is still waiting for us."

"Get dressed and eat first. There's something I need to do at Xian Group. I will have a meeting in the afternoon." Xian Zihao comforted her by gently patting her on the head. "I may have to go on a business trip in a few days. If you don't want to stay at Xian Residence, we will return to Greenville Residence tomorrow."
"Business trip?" Jiang Ruolan was stunned. "Isn't it now the Spring Festival holiday."
Xian Zihao smiled. "There's nothing I can do about it. Some urgent tasks must be completed regardless of the holidays."
"How long will you be gone?" For the first time, Jiang Ruolan felt a sense of loss when she heard her husband was going on a business trip. She immediately sat on the bed and didn't move.
"At least a week, or at most half a month." He gently kissed her forehead as if he was comforting her, "Don't be so reluctant to part for now. I still have a few days to spend with you before I leave."

She paused for a moment, then got up from the bed and went to the closet. After changing, she walked out of the room with Xian Zihao and asked, "Are you going to Beijing?"

But as soon as she walked in, Old Man Xian looked at her with a wide smile. "Ruolan, you're finally awake? Here, eat something quickly. Since you didn't eat enough during dinner last night, then you have to eat more this morning. You youngster, no matter how tired you are, you have to eat breakfast first before going back to sleep!"
When Jiang Ruolan sat down at the table, she was immediately shocked by the Old Man's words. Her smiling face froze. She looked at the Old Man's smiling face as if he knew something, then shifted her gaze to everyone around the table.
Zhan An covered her mouth with her hands and snickered.
At the same time, Xian Zihao sat down beside her. When he saw her blushing face and frozen state, he couldn't help but smile. He casually brushed her hair. "Why are you sitting there stupidly?"
Jiang Ruolan made a swallowing motion and then chuckled. She secretly glared at Xian Zihao. Didn't he say that no one could hear them last night?!
Xian Zihao placed a glass of hot milk in front of her, took some light food, and put it in her bowl. He raised his eyebrows and said softly, "What are you waiting for? Eat."

After Zhan An tore a piece of bread for her, she immediately said while laughing, "Ruolan, even though you are really too tired, you still have to eat breakfast. After walking for ten minutes, then go back to your bedroom and sleep."
