Chapter 539 – I’m Sitting Here, Thinking Of You
When they arrived at the residence, Xian Guiying quickly unbuckled her seatbelt and was about to get out of the car when she suddenly heard Qin Gengxin say, "What kind of toy does Qianqian like? Building blocks? A doll? Or… An electric car?"
Xian Guiying's hand on the door handle paused and she turned to look at him.
Qin Gengxin looked at her silently, showing no other expression, as if he was just waiting for her to give a good answer.
Xian Guiying's grip on the handle tightened and she looked at him for a moment, then lowered her eyes and said softly, "For her, no even an amount of toys is more important than 'Daddy goes home'."
After saying that, she pushed open the door of the car and got off. She walked straight into the villa without looking back.
Qin Gengxin looked at her back and the light in the children's room on the second floor. He rubbed his forehead and stayed still for a long time.

As Xian Guiying closed the door, she suddenly saw a chubby little girl waiting for her by her feet.
Xian Guiying bent down and hugged her daughter with a smile, kissing her on the cheek. "Spoiled girl, I can't believe you didn't cry today. How amazing!"
"Auntie Dalisay just accompanied me to watch cartoons. After the cartoon ended, I noticed that you still hadn't come home, but when I turned around, you entered the house." Qin Wenqian giggled as she rubbed her face at Xian Guiying's shoulder.
Qin Wenqian's whole body leaned against Xian Guiying, "Mommy, tonight, Qiaqian will sleep with you ~"
A few months ago, Xian Guiying had set up a system for this little girl and it could also be considered as a way of slowly teaching her to stand on her own feet. During the weekend, she would sleep with Qin Wenqian in her arms, and on any normal day, Qin Wenqian would sleep in the children's room by herself.
Today wasn't the weekend. According to the day, Qin Wenqian was supposed to sleep on her own, but now she was acting coquettish again.
Xian Guiying ruffled Qin Wenqian's soft hair, carried her daughter in her arms, and walked to the stairs. "Didn't you already promise? Why do you want to go back on your word?"
Qin Wenqian pouted and hugged her neck. She giggled and said, "Mommy, why did you carry me to the bedroom today?"
"Because if I don't personally send you, you won't keep your word." Xian Guiying lowered her head and pinched Qin Wenqian's nose. Her eyes filled with love and affection.
"Today's cartoon really scared me …" Qin Wenqian blinked her big eyes innocently.
"What cartoon did she watch?" Xian Guiying turned to look at Dalisay, who had an unnatural expression on her face.
"I'm so sorry, Madam." Dalisay blamed herself a little. "A while ago, there was a science fiction movie on TV, and there were some scary scenes. After cleaning the living room, I sat here watching TV for a while, but Miss Qianqian went downstairs and stuck by my side to watch it. I said that it wasn't an animated film, but she shouted that it was clearly an animated film, and she doesn't want me to change channels."
Dalisay lowered her head as she spoke. "I'm so sorry, Madam. I made two mistakes today. One, I shouldn't have been lazy enough to watch TV in front of Miss while you're not here, and two, I shouldn't have allowed Miss to watch horror movies."
After finding out the reason, Xian Guiying was not angry, she just nodded in understanding and looked at Qin Wenqian again.
"No one says that you and Darna can only watch TV in your room during break time. You can occasionally sit in the living room to watch TV, but next time if you want to watch a horror movie, remember to watch it after Qianqian is asleep. She is too young, and it leaves a scar in her heart."
Dalisay hurriedly nodded with a guilty look on her face.
Qin Wenqian didn't seem to be too shocked. Perhaps there were some scenes where she was afraid and didn't dare to sleep alone, but she didn't cry.
Instead, she curled up in Xian Guiying's arms and acted like a spoiled child.
Xian Guiying helplessly smiled and patted her daughter's back. "Alright then. I'll make an exception and sleep with you for tonight but don't do this again in the future. I've taught you that you should keep your word and not go back on your words."
Qin Wenqian nodded like a chick pecking rice.
When Xian Guiying returned to her room, Dalisay and Darna took Qin Wenqian to a shower. Xian Guiying also took this advantage to go for a shower and once she's done, she changed into her pajamas and was about to go to the study room to check the company email when her phone rang.
When she picked up the phone and saw that it was Wei Zhengsheng, she first smiled and raised her eyebrows. Then, she pressed the answer button and put it next to her ear. "My brother finally let you go? Why are you calling me this late? Did you scrap my car?"
"Sleeping?" Wei Zhengsheng's voice came over the phone with a hint of carefreeness.
"Not yet. Qianqian will sleep with me tonight. I plan to find a new bedtime story after reading the company's email. I don't know what story I'm going to tell tonight." Xian Guiying smiled as she sat in front of the computer, talking while turning it on.
"Are you at home?"
"No, I'm at the company."
"Company?" Xian Guiying was stunned. "It's so late, why are you going to the company? I don't remember having anything important in the last two days."
"On the way back, I thought of something and finally I drove back to the company. I went straight upstairs and sat in the office for a while." He whispered, "I'm sitting here, thinking of you."
Xian Guiying's hand tightened the phone as she logged into her mailbox while tapping the keyboard with her other hand. She knew how Wei Zhengsheng had treated her in the last few years, but he had always been very polite and courteous.
Although he never denied that he liked her, he never made her feel awkward. He was just a very modest person and would not make anyone else helpless because he knew what she thought about Qin Gengxin, knew about her marriage, and knew about the existence of Qin Wenqian. So even though he sometimes asking her if she was really happy, he wouldn't approach her.
So his sudden 'thinking of you' made Xian Guiying a little taken aback, and she didn't know how to respond.
