Chapter 555 – Xian Guiying Was Injured
Qin Gengxin walked closer to Xian Guiying in three steps. Before Darna could reach her, he bent down to help her. With one hand on her good arm and the other on her waist, Qin Gengxin looked down at Xian Guiying and asked anxiously, "How is it? Did you hurt a bone? You're already a grown-up woman, how can you still be so careless?"
When he said that, he raised her arm to take a closer look. For a moment, he frowned.

The current him seemed to overlap with the him from many years ago, and the worry in his eyes and the accusation against her reckless actions were the same. Xian Guiying lowered her head, wanting to say that she was fine.
Qin Gengxin didn't seem to notice her eyes. He immediately carried her into his arms and as soon as he did, Xian Guiying let out a low cry of pain from her ankle.
He looked down at her feet, then down at her pained face. "Sprain?"
"I may have accidentally twisted it. I'll be fine after sitting for a while." Xian Guiying licked her lips as she felt the temperature of his palms on her waist.
Qin Gengxin pursed his lips and said nothing, just helping her to sit on the couch. Qin Wenqian ran over and stood on the edge of the couch, pulled Xian Guiying's arm gently.
She looked at the bleeding arm and immediately pursed her lips before blowing it. "Mommy will be fine. It will not hurt. Qianqian will give you a huff."
Xian Guiying couldn't help but laugh at her daughter's cute voice. She wanted to touch her head, but when she raised her hand, Qin Gengxin pressed the hand down.
"Don't move." With a frown, he turned and signaled for Darna to bring the medicine. Xian Guiying hurriedly said there was no need, but Darna was already obediently running upstairs to get it.
Qin Gengxin held her arm and looked around the area where her skin was bleeding. Then he let go of her arm, got up, and went to the bathroom to soak the clean towel with water.
After that, he walked closer, raised her arm again, and carefully cleaned the dirt and grime at the edge of the wound.
The pain made Xian Guiying frown slightly, but she made no sound. She just looked down and saw that the wound on her arm was carefully cleaned by Qin Gengxin. A familiar hint of nostalgia suddenly appeared in her heart.
"Does it hurt?" Sensing the stiffness in her arm, Qin Gengxin lowered his head and blew her arm lightly. As he blew to relieve the pain, he continued to wipe the wound and asked gently.
Xian Guiying raised her head and looked at his face, which was almost within her reach, and shook her head.
As she was shaking her head, Qin Gengxin suddenly stopped what he was doing and glanced at her.
Xian Guiying stared straight at him without looking away. That's the emotion that Qin Gengxin had often seen in her eyes over the years. Warm, lingering, and loving.
He paused for a moment, as if realizing what he was doing. He then moved his hand away from her. He put the towel on the tea table, took a step back, and sat down on the small couch opposite, no longer helping her clean it.
Sensing the change, Xian Guiying only looked at him for a moment before she reached out to pick up the towel and continued to rub the edges of her tattered skin. Occasionally glancing at him as she did so.
Qin Gengxin waved his hand, gesturing to Qin Wenqian, who had been standing next to Xian Guiying, to go to his side.
Qin Wenqian turned her head and saw Qin Gengxin calling to her. She walked over and held his hand. "Daddy, please help mommy, otherwise, mommy will be in so much pain!"
"Qianqian, it's fine. Mommy can do it alone. Don't bother daddy." As Xian Guiying spoke, she glanced at Qin Gengxin, whose expression had already changed to one of indifference.
She laughed to herself inwardly. Even though he still had the same feelings as back then, he was still unwilling to accept the truth of both of them.
He hated how she "deliberately" taking advantage of his drunkenness or how she had used her pregnancy to restrict his life.
It was just that the care and concern he had for her just now, as well as the pain and reprimanding in his words, made Xian Guiying miss him immensely.
Xian Guiying lowered her head to wipe her wounds while silently tightening her grip on the towel.

"Mr. Qin, Madam, this is the medicine. Dalisay has called a doctor, he should be here in 15 minutes." Darna came down with the medical kit and hurriedly walked to the couch.

"I'll do it myself." Xian Guiying put down the towel and glanced at Darna. She smiled and took the ointment in her hand. She squeezed a little and put it on her finger. Then, she wiped it on the wound on her arm.
However, as soon as she applied it, it hurt so much that her whole body quivered and she hissed.
Xian Guiying endured the pain and continued smearing the ointment. However, her hands were trembling because of the pain.
"Madam …" Seeing her in such pain, Darna wanted to help.
"It's okay, I can do it myself. It's just a small wound. Go doing your job, don't worry about me." Xian Guiying looked at her, then lowered her head to continue applying the ointment.
Qin Gengxin quietly approached and looked at the swelling around her wound and the ointment smeared on the wound. He sighed and sat down next to her. He said nothing but immediately reached out to take the ointment in her hand and help her apply it.
Xian Guiying was stunned for a moment as she looked at him. Qin Gengxin didn't say a word but just held her arm and tried to ease the strength of his grip.
Rubbing the ointment on the wound, he said, "Although this kind of medicine works well, it will still hurt. Bear it for a moment."
Xian Guiying nodded. Her lips moved slightly, but she couldn't say the word "thank you". She just lifted her eyes and silently watched him seriously applying the medicine for her.
