She pressed the button for another five or six minutes, but there was no answer.
Xian Guiying frowned and bit her lower lip. Seeing the closed door in front of her, she knocked on it with her hand. "Qin Gengxin! I know you're in there! Get out, I have something to discuss with you!"

Xian Guiying put her hands down and sighed. She looked at the case of beer on the floor and squatted down. She found a card in the corner of the case.
These beers were bought by Qin Gengxin from a convenience store downstairs. The owner even left a card so Qin Gengxin could place an order over the phone the next time he wanted to buy something.

Xian Guiying approached her, took the paper out of her hand, and hit her small hand gently. "How many times mommy needs to tell you. Don't make a mess whenever you go somewhere. This is not a good habit. If mommy sees it again, mommy will be angry."
Qin Wenqian looked at her innocently, then turned to Wei Zhengsheng, who was behind the desk, looking at them with a smile.
"Uncle Wei said he had work that needed to be finished and couldn't play with Qianqian. I took the paper from the basket and started playing. Uncle Wei didn't say I couldn't play." Qianqian pouted.
Xian Guiying pursed her lips and glanced at the basket next to her. The paper Qin Wenqian had just torn was scrap paper, so she heaved a sigh of relief and looked at Wei Zhengsheng, who was still laughing. "Didn't I leave her with Secretary Dai? Why did she come here?"
Seeing her serious expression, the smile on Wei Zhengsheng's face gradually disappeared. "Qianqian is still a young child, she can play with whatever she wants. Why should you care so much about something that is a small matter? Why are you in a bad mood?"
Xian Guiying looked away. She picked up the paper basket, placing it next to his desk. "I don't want Qianqian to have bad habits."

Xian Guiying patted her daughter's head with satisfaction. "This is mommy's darling."
Wei Zhengsheng walked over and stood in front of the mother-daughter pair. "You taught Qianqian to be too sensible since she was young," he smiled. "Why would you do that?"
"Qianqian was born to be sensible; don't you think so, Qianqian?" Xian Guiying smiled as she caressed her daughter's head. "Qianqian has always been very obedient. She doesn't need her mommy to teach her, does she?"
Qin Wenqian was so flattered that she felt embarrassed. She giggled and burrowed her face into her mother's bosom.
Xian Guiying hugged her daughter with a smile, but then, her gaze was glued to the corner of the couch. She was lost in thought.
She only turned to Wei Zhengsheng after she heard him call out to her several times.
"What are you thinking?" Smiling, he took his suit jacket from the coat stand and put it on. "What do you want to eat for dinner tonight? It just so happens that you're here, so I don't have to go back and pick you up."
Xian Guiying was just about to answer his question when Qin Wenqian raised her small hand and happily said, "I want to eat seafood crab!"
"Crab? What crab? With a body like yours, eating too much seafood will make you allergic to it. If you can only eat it twice a year, that's more than enough! Didn't you just eat it the night before?" Xian Guiying pressed her daughter's hand down before looking at Wei Zhengsheng. "There's no need, we still haven't eaten our lunch takeout. I will reheat it and then cook another dish. Wei Zhengsheng stopped fixing his sleeves and looked at her.
After looking at her for a moment, he smiled and said, "Alright, I'll send you back."
