Chapter 678 – If You Are Skinny, How Can You Wear A Wedding Dress
Xian Guiying looked at the woman before answering, "Yes."
"Even so, you don't have to return the properties to Qin Gengxin. Since he was willing to give you the properties, that means he's still a bit of a human being. He knows he's been letting you down for years, and at the moment, he has no other way to redeem himself, that's why he used this method."
"I don't want it."
"Guiying."
"Secretary Dai, transfer them back to him in a week. Don't leave any behind. I don't want it!" After Xian Guiying finished speaking, she looked outside the lounge and saw someone walking out from the meeting room. "The meeting should have already ended. Go and get busy. I'll sign these files and you can take care of it later."
"Fine, I'll think of a way. However, the things on Qin Gengxin's side are a bit complicated right now. I don't know if the asset transfer will be frozen by the bank or not. Actually, Guiying, if you really don't want it, you might keep it for him. If you transfer it like this, I'm afraid the bank won't provide any way out at all."
It wasn't that Xian Guiying hadn't thought of it this way, but she hesitated upon hearing the words that came out of Secretary Dai's mouth.
"I feel at the moment, Guiying, everything you're doing is too impulsive. You're trying to find a way to sever all ties with Qin Gengxin, including the matter of marrying President Wei."
"That's enough, Secretary Dai. I'll think about transferring the properties. Don't discuss anything else." Xian Guiying stood up and walked out of the lounge. Then, she met Wei Zhengsheng, who had just walked out of the meeting room.
"Have you seen Secretary Dai?" Wei Zhengsheng immediately walked towards her.
"Hmm." Xian Guiying smiled at him. "You've finished your meeting? Do you have other things to do? I'll go back first."
"My parents will be here tomorrow." Wei Zhengsheng raised his hand and gently pushed a strand of hair from Xian Guiying's cheek behind her ear. His gaze was gentle when he said," You have lost a lot of weight. Are you all right?"
"It's been hot lately." Xian Guiying pursed her lip. "And also, I don't have an appetite."
"No matter what, you should eat more. If you are skinny, how can you wear a wedding dress later?" Wei Zhengsheng chuckled a little.
Xian Guiying also laughed along. "Stop teasing me. If I gain a lot of weight, no one will want me."
Wei Zhengsheng actually smiled and nodded. "Yes, I'm happy when no one wants you."
Xian Guiying's mouth twitched. "I won't argue with you, I still have things to do. By the way, what time is your parents' flight? If you plan to pick them up, just let me know in advance. I'll make some preparations."
She looked at the time on her wrist. "Alright then. I'll take my leave first."
After saying that, she rushed to the elevator. As the elevator stopped on this floor, and Xian Guiying was about to enter, Wei Zhengsheng's voice suddenly came from behind her. "Guiying, whatever happens, don't push yourself. If you're not ready, let me know. I can wait."
Xian Guiying walked into the elevator and smiled at him, "What do you mean by that? I've already started looking for a designer to help me design my wedding dress."
As her voice faded, the elevator doors closed at the same time, isolating the two from view.
Xian Guiying looked at the number change in the elevator. She raised her hand and touched the spot on her face where Wei Zhengsheng had touched.
It's warm.
What reason was there for her not to be ready?
Eight in the evening, Xian Guiying received a call from Secretary Dai. The two of them had some things to discuss and decided to meet at the entrance of a big business building in the center of Boston.
As she's also going to officially meet the two elders of the Wei Family here tomorrow, Xian Guiying planned to take a walk around town after dinner with Secretary Dai.
Cars drove along the road, and at night, Boston City was brightly lit. The place where she lived for more than ten years had given her too much and also had caused her to lose too much.
Her eyes were still looking straight ahead. Even as she passed the Royale Nightclub, she still insisted on looking straight ahead, not wanting to spare a glance towards the direction.
However, the sudden red light in front of her forced her to stop the car. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw what was reflected in the rearview mirror.
Qin Gengxin continued to vomit next to the railing in front of the Royale Nightclub. He was certainly not sober. Several women at the club ran to help him, but he pushed them away.
Why did this red light take so long?
Qin Gengxin stood motionless against the railing. His figure, which had lost a lot of weight, looked lonely and dejected under the night wind.
He had never been in a state of remorse during the thirty-three years of his life, but now, it was as if he couldn't feel his own miserable state at all. He standing there for a long time, and suddenly, he felt another wave of nausea. When he raised his head and vomited, the paleness in his face fiercely stabbed into Xian Guiying's heart.
The red light ended and the car in the back kept honking, meanwhile Xian Guiying continued to observe everything in the rearview mirror, as if she hadn't heard the screams of the other drivers because her car wasn't moving at all.
Just when someone got out of the car, Xian Guiying made an u-turn and headed to Royale Nightclub. She parked her car on the side of the road and took the mineral bottle with her before walking towards Qin Gengxin.
"President Qin, you're already vomiting like this. Come inside with me quickly, I'll find you something to drink!" The sexy beauty who had just been pushed aside tried to help him.
Qin Gengxin had vomited a few more times. When the woman touched his shoulder, he immediately yelled at her. "Get lost!"
"Really, how pathetic! Your company has almost sold and you are about to become a beggar. If it wasn't for the fact that you have some money, who would want to play with a drunk man like you." The beauty cursed and arrogantly returned to the nightclub.
Xian Guiying stood on the side of the road and watched for a moment. She noticed that Qin Gengxin looked in pain and his pale was abnormally pale. He leaned against the railing, apparently unable to move.
She looked at him in this way. She had been trying her best not to move forward, but a sudden bolt of lightning struck down from the sky and it was about to rain.
Someone walked out of the door of the Royale Nightclub with an umbrella. He planned to collect items at the door before the rain started to fall.
Xian Guiying was holding a bottle of mineral water in her hand when her phone rang. She paused and looked at the caller.
Wei Zhengsheng.
"Are you not at home?" Wei Zhengsheng's soft voice came from the phone.
Xian Guiying replied with "hmm" and was even more clear-headed because of the phone call. She stood on the spot and did not move forward.
"It'll be raining soon, come back early and don't catch a cold."
"I have an appointment with Secretary Dai and I'm on my way to see her. I'm driving so I won't get caught in the rain."
"Then come back as soon as possible. Don't make me worry. My parents' flight schedule is early tomorrow morning, so we don't have to pick them up at the airport. Just get ready in the morning and find a hotel near Xian Enterprise by noon."
"Alright, I understand." Xian Guiying hung up the phone and turned around to get into the car.
At first, she didn't want to care about the man anymore, but when she opened the car door and saw Qin Gengxin, who was initially leaning against the railing, suddenly slide down, her hand that had just opened the car door stopped.
