Xian Guiying helped Qin Gengxin into the bedroom and laid him on the bed. Then, she called the family doctor's phone number with her cell phone as she walked towards the bedroom door.
"No need to call a doctor." Qin Gengxin said.

She saw Qin Gengxin looking at her with a pair of cold eyes. She hesitated for a moment, then hung up the phone. "Your fever hasn't subsided yet. I'm not sure to leave you alone at home. It's still better to call the doctor."

Xian Guiying's grip on the phone tightened and she was frowning slightly.
Seeing her not answering, Qin Gengxin closed his eyes and leaned on the headboard, saying indifferently, "You can go. There's no need to come here again."
Seeing his face getting paler, Xian Guiying remained silent for a moment before she walked into the living room. She looked at the thermometer on the table next to the couch.
While she was thinking, a notification sound suddenly came from her phone. She tapped on the screen and saw a message from Wei Zhengsheng.
"I'm leaving. You don't have to go back to the apartment. Good luck."
Seeing those simple words, Xian Guying sighed. She sat down on the couch and put her phone and bag next to her. She felt her head, which had been aching since the afternoon, was hurting even more.
