Chapter 734 – Old Age And Death Are Normal Cycles For Humans
Xian Guiying slowly opened her eyes and her vision blurred. It was not until her vision cleared up that she realized she was lying in a ward filled with the smell of disinfectant.
Looking at the snow-white ceiling and the bottle hanging next to the bed, Xian Guiying frowned and turned her eyes around. She saw Qin Gengxin sitting beside the bed, leaning over to look at her, as she woke up.
Qin Gengxin gently caressed her head. His eyes filled with worry and concern.
"What's wrong with me?" Xian Guiying sighed slowly. When she opened her mouth to speak, her throat actually felt dry.
Qin Gengxin looked at her for a moment, then got up and looked at the IV drip. He calmly said, "It's nothing, the doctor said that you have a fever, and since this is your first trimester, your nutrition is not sufficient."
"First trimester? I'm pregnant?" Xian Guiying wanted to sit up, but a headache attacked her. She winced and forced herself to sit up slowly. She rubbed her forehead and looked at Qin Gengxin in surprise.
Qin Gengxin pursed his lip. At the moment like this, all the excitement he should have been able to feel turned into warmth. The Old Man was still in the observation, and he felt it was not the right time to be happy.
Xian Guiying hadn't taken the pill afterwards a few times before. Originally, she once thought of not taking birth control pills on purpose, because whether she would have another child or not, she never thought she would get it easily in the future.

Xian Guiying's eyes were slightly bloodshot and she forcefully held her tears. She took a deep breath before saying hoarsely, "I want to see him."
Qin Gengxin at first wanted to let her rest, but he paused and didn't stop her. He just said, "I will accompany you after you finish your IV drip."
Xian Guiying raised her head to look at the bottle by the bed. There wasn't much left, so she sat quietly on the bed.
Qin Gengxin knew she was sad, so he sat on the bed and grabbed her hand gently. "Dad arranged for people to watch over him. Grandfather hasn't gotten up yet, so there is no need for you to worry about him."
He tightened the grip on her hand. "I suddenly don't know how you endured years ago when you were pregnant with Qianqian. When I went to the lab to get the blood test results, I saw a couple looking at the results together. Their faces were full of happiness, and when you went to the hospital alone to check on it, you must have felt alone, right? When I thought about it, I felt like I'm too much of a bastard for you to forgive me."
"Although the situation has already changed, I still can't let it go." Qin Gengxin leaned over and kissed her hand. He lay on her lap with his face close to her stomach and whispered, "Guiying, I'm sorry."
Xian Guiying slowly raised her hand to caress his head. With a slight smile, she said, "I didn't faint back then. It wasn't as hard as you think. It's all over."
With that, she looked towards the ward door. Her happiness of being pregnant was completely overshadowed by her grandfather's deteriorating condition. She knew that Qin Gengxin's heart was filled with longing and fear.

Xian Zihao, Jiang Ruolan, and Xian Yijun stood at the entrance of the observation room.
They looked through the glass window at the motionless Old Man with the oxygen mask on his face.
"Did the doctor say anything else?" Xian Zihao asked.
Qin Xiaowen happened to be next to them, so he said, "The doctor is just saying that he won't be able to survive past tomorrow."
When Jiang Ruolan and Xian Yijun heard this, even though their hearts were in pain, they couldn't say anything. Old Man Xian had made many mistakes in his life, and now that he was about to leave, all his children were by his side.
Xian Zihao let out a long sigh. Seeing Qin Gengxin walking towards them from the other side of the corridor, but not without Xian Guiying, he asked, "Where's Guiying?"
Qin Gengxin walked over and said, "She stayed here with the Old Man for an entire day yesterday and refused to leave. She was only taken away by me early in the morning to rest. She has just fallen into a deep sleep."

Mrs. Qin walked closer. "I've arranged a room at a nearby hotel. You can stay there for the night."
