He said that he would not be returning. Gu Jinglian had planned to send him off. But at the lat minute, he said there was a very important person he had to meet. Then, he disappeared.

He rushed to the hospital and arrived at the emergency room. However, the doctor asked him if he was a family member of the deceased.
“Deceased!?”
Gu Jinglian’s expression darkened. “Where is he?”
“He’s in the emergency room. We tried to save him, but he lost his vital signs on the way. There’s nothing we can do!”
The doctor said regretfully.
But Gu Jinglian did not believe him. “How is that possible?! You quack, did you make a mistake?!”
The doctor was extremely aggrieved. But even then, because of his fear of the man’s identity, he explained in a quiet voice, “How could I be mistaken?! The deceased was a very popular celebrity when he was alive. He was a popular idol. Didn’t you see? The nurses in the emergency room were all crying so hard that they almost died…”
Gu Xingze had lost all signs of life on the way to the hospital.
When he was in the ambulance, some medical staff recognized him.

Now, there was only the single trolley bed in the huge emergency room.
Various medical instruments were put away by the side.
At the foot of the bed, there were bloodstained shreds of cloth that had once been the clothes of the deceased.
Gu Jinglian walked to the bedside. He really did not believe that the person under this white sheet was Gu Xingze.
He reached out and grabbed a corner of the white fabric and peeled it back!

He was really dead!?
