Jing Shaoze rubbed his face. His face was stinging with pain, but he just looked towards Ning Shu with a helpless and indulgent expression. “Alright, it’s time for dinner. Let’s go.”
Ning Shu lifted the blanket aside and got ready to get out of bed. Jing Shaoze squatted down and helped Ning Shu put her slippers on. His expression was gentle as he did these considerate things.
How did Jing Shaoze end up with such a terrible split personality disorder? He acted one way in front of her, and acted a completely different way in front of Ye Xi.
Was there any meaning to this?
Ning Shu and Jing Shaoze went downstairs to have dinner. Jing Shaoze’s parents were already there and with Ye Xi added on, there were five people at the table.
No one talked at the table, so there was only the faint sound of chewing. Ning Shu glanced at Ye Xi. Ye Xi had her head lowered as she ate the nutritious meal provided by the nutritionist.
Jing Shaoze was getting food for Ning Shu, but he also snuck glances over at Ye Xi. Whenever Ye Xi accidently met Jing Shaoze’s gaze, she would immediately lower her head again. Her head hung down so low that her chin was about to hit her chest.
Ning Shu ignored their flirting and just focused on eating. The Jing family was a wealthy family so their food was really quite delicious.
“There’s something I need to say,” said Jing Shaoze’s mother as she set down her chopsticks.
“What is it?” asked Jing Shaoze.
Jing Shaoze’s mother glanced at Ye Xi, then turned to Jing Shaoze’s father and said, “I want Ye Xi to go to work at the company.”
Ye Xi looked towards Jing Shaoze’s mother in surprise. She wanted her to work at the company?
Ye Xi then looked towards Jing Shaoze and Jing Shaoze also looked towards her so their gazes collided.
Ning Shu raised her eyebrows as she asked, “Why do you want to send Miss Ye to the company? Isn’t Miss Ye’s job to prepare her body in order to have a baby?”
Jing Shaoze’s mother said, “Ye Xi looks listless staying at home all day, so I feel like it’s better for her to go to work. It also serves as exercise and is way better than just staying at home.”
“I won’t agree to it.” Jing Shaoze set down his chopsticks heavily with a displeased expression. “I don’t want to see her. I already see her at home and now I have to see her when I’m at the company as well?”
Ye Xi lowered her head and used her chopsticks to poke at the food inside her bowl. She looked very wronged and pitiful. Jing Shaoze shot a glower at her. When he saw her like this, his facial color became even worse.
It was hard to tell if he was angry with himself or with Ye Xi.
Ning Shu’s lips twitched. He was definitely overjoyed right now, but he insisted on saying that he wouldn’t agree to it. Sluts were seriously pretentious.

Ye Xi set down her fork and said, “I’m willing to go work at the company. I’m willing to work and pay back the money with my own effort.”

“How about being a secretary?” suggested Jing Shaoze’s mother.
Jing Shaoze’s secretary? Ning Shu looked towards Jing Shaoze’s mother indifferently. She really was a pimp. She was using every single method she could come up with to get Jing Shaoze and Ye Xi alone with each other so that Ye Xi could get pregnant.
