“Qing Chen……” Qian Ye An was stunned, clearly never thinking that this handsomely dressed young man would say such things to him.
They had been chatting and laughing in the Drunken Moon House before, but now…..she was speaking like this…..
“It’s fine! I’ll ask my second question.” Luo Qing Chen looked at him with slightly knitted brows, “During the time I was gone, has my big sister been eating anything different from usual?”
“There shouldn’t be.” Qian Ye An knit his brows as he said, “She mostly eats with the old master and the madame, I would come when I have time. There wasn’t anything strange.”
Luo Qing Chen knit her brows and purse her lips, “Did you really find nothing unusual?”
“What happened to Jin Yan?” There was a look of worry in Qian Ye an’s eyes, “You’re suddenly this serious…..It isn’t like you.”
Although Luo Qing Chen wasn’t an elegant person before, she was still someone with decent features. She was careless and didn’t mind things.
He had never seen her worrying about anything and knitting her brows.
“Nothing.” Luo Qing Chen said, “Go and eat dinner with my big sister first!”
She asked Qian Ye An these questions because first, she wanted to know why Luo Jin Yan suddenly became sick and second…..She wanted to know if Qian Ye An was a friend or enemy.
His eyes were sincere and unless he was very deep, he shouldn’t have any ill intentions.
Ning’er had the kitchen prepare dinner, it was all light dishes. Ning’er didn’t look bad, she had fair skin and delicate features.
“Ning’er greets the second miss.”
“Un.”
She gave a slight nod without saying a thing. Luo Jin Yan was already awake and while her face still looked bad, her eyes were clear.
“Have you seen our parents?” She warmly looked at her with a loving gaze.
Luo Qing Chen said with a nod, “Un, I went just now.”
“Mother must have missed you, but big sister still had you come eat with me.” Luo Jin Yan looked at Ning’er, “Have the kitchen prepare the desserts the second young miss likes. She must be hungry for them after being away from home so long.”
“Big sister, no need. I’ll just eat whatever you’re eating.” Luo Qing Chen looked around and her eyes fell onto the flowers by the window. She turned and asked, “Big sister, do you like growing flowers recently?”
“That.” Before Luo Jin Yan could speak, Ning’er first said, “There were a few green willows there before, but they withered after the storm. Ning’er went to the garden to get a few flowers for the young miss to watch.”
“This flower…..” Luo Qing Chen had a faint sparkle in her eyes as she said, “How long has this flower been here?”
“This flower has been around for half a month, second miss……”
“Did I ask you?” Luo Qing Chen directly cut off Ning’er and she looked at her with cold eyes, “You don’t even have an idea of your own self worth as a servant? Uncle Liu said that you were an intelligent person, but I think that his old eyes are clouded.”
“I…..” Ning’er gritted her teeth and muttered in a bit of an unconvinced voice, “I was just explaining to the second miss…..”
“Pa.” A crisp slap fell across her face and Luo Jin Yan and Qian Ye An were both stunned.
Ning’er also looked at her in shock, never thinking that she would slap her so quickly.
“I have a rather thin patience, so don’t blame me if you can’t understand.” Luo Qing Chen narrowed her cold eyes as she raised the fan in her right hand to her chin, “I’ll ask you again, how long have these flowers been here?”
