So he stopped automatically, standing on the opposite end of the river. The two of them came to confrontation.
He was gasping for breath lightly and his whole lung was stinging because of how fast he rushed here. But he continued to stare at her without blinking, fearing that she will disappear if he blinked.

Gong Yimo continued to look at him coldly, but her tone softened, “Gong Jue, you can’t protect me. If I turn back now, either those people will steal the gunpowder from me, or the emperor will chase me down and kill me.”
