Long Yifan was arranged to be admitted into the ward on the highest floor of the hospital, thirty-eighth floor. It was the most luxurious en-suite ward available in the hospital. One night of stay there alone would cost a hefty sum.
Bai Qinghao instructed them to provide Long Yifan with the best treatment and care. The best doctors and nurses were put on the job. All of the medical fee was to be waived.
Fang Xinxin did not reject his kind intentions.
After all, even if she refused his money, her debt from her previous life could never be cleared. She owed him big time anyways!
More importantly, she suspected that there was something amiss with her mother. Right now, it wasn’t safe for her father to remain in a regular hospital.
In Jia Ya Hospital, Bai Qinghao arranged for two bodyguards to guard outside the hospital ward.
Inside the room, Fang Xinxin stayed besides Long Yifan’s bed and accompanied him till late at night.
Bai Qinghao also remained by her side.
She repeatedly urged him to attend to his work, but he refused to leave. On the other hand, his phone kept ringing repeatedly.
The Sheng Shi Group had a lot of matters awaiting his instructions.
Fang Xinxin also received a call from Fang Lilan. Fang Xinxin informed her she was at the hospital accompanying her father. However, aside from reprimanding her for spending so much money on Fang Manxue’s clothes, Fang Lilan did not mention anything else. She did not even bother to ask about her father’s situation.

The moon was shining brightly tonight. Fang Xinxin stood in front of the windows on the thirty-eighth floor and watched as the clouds slowly floated in the sky.
A thick suit jacket was placed on her shoulders from behind. She turned around to look at Bai Qinghao. “It’s really late. You still have work tomorrow. You should head home first.”
“I’ll accompany you.” His voice was slightly husky from fatigue.
Yesterday, at the Fang family’s guest room, he had failed to catch any sleep.
After staying awake for forty-eight hours straight, his complexion was really poor.
Fang Xinxin couldn’t help but notice his fatigue. She understood that he could not bear to leave her alone. Thus, she said, “How about we sleep here?”
The room was extremely spacious. Aside from the patient’s bed, there was a bed provided for the accompanying family member. It was around 1.5 metres wide. There was also a living room for receiving visitors.
“We’ll sleep together.” He pursed his lips and his tone did not offer any possibilities for negotiation.
“En.” She climbed onto the bed first. Bai Qinghao laid down by her side and opened his arms to hold her.
He then tugged the blanket over them. As he held the little woman in his arms, he leaned into her hair and breathed in the sweet scent of her shampoo.
His cold, frozen heart felt content.
This night, he held her properly and did not do anything intimate or out of line.
This was because Long Yifan was on the other hospital bed, even if he was in a coma.
He would never sully the only woman, who possessed his heart, in front of anyone else.
Perhaps it was because Fang Xinxin was in his arms that Bai Qinghao’s tense emotions calmed down, lulling him to fall asleep without any hitch.
He was exhausted and insomnia didn’t haunt him that night.
Fang Xinxin took the initiative to wrap her little hands around his firm waist. She was similarly tired and was soon asleep.
Outside the window, the moon shone brightly and the stars twinkled.
The two of them slept peacefully in each other’s arms that night.
