Fang Shaohua seemed to have thought of something. He suddenly spoke in a flustered tone. “Xinxin, have you visited Dad recently? Before I was jailed, I paid a large sum to the hospital for his treatment. The money should have been finished two months ago. Did mom pay his outstanding fees?”
“She didn’t.” Fang Xinxin did not want him to stress over their father’s condition. “Brother, don’t worry. I’ve already paid the medical fees.”
“It must have been very expensive. Where did you find the money…” Fang Shaohua had a lot of concerns. Yet, he was trapped in jail and did not have the power to do anything.
“It’s fine. I have a lot of money.” Fang Xinxin winked at him mischievously in hopes of easing the heavy atmosphere. “I’m telling you this secretly. I won the lottery recently worth over thirteen million dollars.”
“Really!” He looked at her suspiciously. “Could it have been Bai Qinghao…”
“No, no.” She rushed to shake her head. “I was just really lucky and won the money by chance.”
“That’s good. Your brother is happy for you.” Fang Shaohua finally smiled a little.
“Brother, as you know, we still don’t know what’s wrong with the Fang family. A normal hospital isn’t safe right now. I have shifted Dad into Jia Ya Hospital. It’s the hospital managed by the Sheng Shi Group. Bai Qinghao has arranged two bodyguards to protect him.”
Fang Shaohua hesitated for a moment before nodding. “…that’s a good idea. Although we are troubling Bai Qinghao, it’s more important for Dad to be safe.”

Fang Shaohua took in her worried expression. A hint of light appeared in his gloomy expression. “Xinxin…”
