He turned back with questioning eyes.
“Um…” She laughed cheekily and rubbed her hands together before stretching one palm out towards him. “Give it to me.”
“How many billions?” He brought out a cheque book from his pocket and got ready to fill it in for her.
“Billions of what?” She blinked her eyes innocently.
“Nonsense, of course it’s money.” He glanced at her coldly.
He thought she was asking for money?
Fuck! This was a serious misunderstanding!
Wasn’t he being too extravagant? He planned to give her sums of billions? Was he too impatient to deal with millions?
She especially liked big bosses who were this cultured.
“Who said I was asking you for money?” She was deeply moved, but forced him to keep the cheque book away. “Um… I’m asking for the piece of scab that came off my face earlier.”
Her eyes were sharp and she had noticed him holding it in his palm.
He furrowed his ink-black brows. “I can’t give it to you.”
“Why not?” She was slightly angry. “It came off when you touched my face. Don’t you find it disgusting and gross?”
“No.” His cold, heavy voice was decisive.
“I don’t care.” She reached out to snatch it. “Quickly, hand it over.”
The thought that he was holding onto her scab left her scalp feeling numb. She felt that her image was almost entirely ruined.
“It fell into my hands, so it’s mine now.” His cold, frigid gaze watched her meaningfully.
I would like to carry a piece of you with me at all times, even if it’s only a bit of your skin.
She struggled to understand his insistence. “Forget it, do as you like then.”
She waved her hand generously.
Considering that he was willing to offer her cheques that started from billions, she would ‘gift’ this disgusting scab to him generously.
Bai Qinghao sat down in front of his study table and pulled open a drawer. He found a small, transparent pill box around the size of his thumb and placed the piece of scab in it.
He admired it for a moment before placing it into his pocket in contentment.
Inside the bedroom, Fang Xinxin noticed that a European style vanity had been added next to the luxurious table.
She called Butler Zhao over. “Is this for me?”
“Responding to Miss Fang, Young Master instructed for this to be bought. He said that this would make living here more convenient for you. The make-up and skin care products on the vanity were also prepared for you by the Young Master.”
Fang Xinxin was extremely moved.
She knew from her previous life that he was a tough man to his core. He disliked placing these sort of feminine items in his own room.
She did not expect him to take the initiative to do this.
“You can leave now.” She waved her hand.
Butler Zhao glanced at her face with a strange look before backing away respectfully.
Fang Xinxin sat before her vanity in a sleeping gown. She then combed through her long hair slowly.
All of a sudden, her gaze landed on her own reflection. She nearly cried out in shock.
All of her scabs had hardened and were on the verge of falling off.
She touched her face and a few pieces of scabs immediately fell.
Countless scabs were beginning to fall. Her reflection was something right out of a horror film. It made it difficult for one to look directly at her.
She turned the ceiling lights off and only left the faint, orange bedside lamp lit.
She took another look at herself. The reflection was that of a legit ‘female ghost’ who didn’t need any cosmetics!
Fang Xinxin was amazed by the fact that she wouldn’t look out of place in a horror film.
It was no wonder that the usually stony Butler Zhao also could not help looking at her face strangely sometime ago.
