Chapter 41: Saving Gu Linyuan
“What!” Blood drained out of Gu Linyuan’s face. He rushed out of the car to follow her.
The chauffeur was also frightened and ran away from the vehicle.
“Boom!”
A moment later, the black Mercedes-Benz exploded with an ear-shattering noise. It was immediately engulfed in fiery flames.
Gu Linyuan and his chauffeur were stunned by the debacle in front of them.
If they had left the car even a few seconds later, both of them would have perished.
The chauffeur fell onto the ground, frightened, while Gu Linyuan pressed his palm against his chest. His complexion was unusually pale.
“All right. I have upheld my end of the deal.” Fang Xinxin released Gu Linyuan’s hand and stuffed a slip of paper into his suit pocket. “My bank details are written on that piece of paper. Please transfer the money to my account.”
Fang Xinxin turned to leave.
But Gu Linyuan’s imploring voice stopped her. “Miss, please wait a moment…”
She looked back at him curiously. “What is it?”
“Could I trouble you to send me to the hospital…” Gu Linyuan spoke with much difficulty.
Fang Xinxin scanned his ashen face and saw that he was clearly feeling unwell.
She then glanced at the Gu family’s chauffeur. A wet patch had formed on the man’s pants. There was no way he could take care of anyone in his frightened state.
Fang Xinxin said, “Director Gu, I think you’re suffering from chronic stomach ailments. Do you have your medication with you? If so, please take it now.”
Gu Linyuan glanced at her in astonishment. “How did you know that? Did you investigate me prior to this?”
“What do you think?” Fang Xinxin did not respond to his question. “I’ve studied a bit of medicine.”
In her previous life, her lower body had been paralysed and her vision was damaged. The long period of illness gave her an opportunity to study. She had read a lot of medical books prior to losing her sight and managed to build a good foundation in medicine.

Gu Linyuan nodded and said, “I do have gastric problems, but I don’t have my medication with me currently.”
“Sigh! I suppose I’ll be a good samaritan and send you to the hospital.” Fang Xinxin first took some photos and videos of the burning car from various angles. These images could be very profitable.

She had booked this car earlier through the internet.
They were in the outskirts of the city. It was extremely difficult to find a cab here.
The driver glanced at the damaged car and asked her in astonishment. “What happened over there? Why is that car burning?”
Fang Xinxin supported Gu Linyuan into the car and answered lightly. “That car blew up on its own. The owner is right here. He suffered a fright and needs to get to the hospital immediately.”
She couldn’t possibly say to him that someone had planted a bomb in Director Gu’s car.
Otherwise, if this news was leaked, the people in the Gu Group would surely be affected. The company’s stocks would also fall drastically.
“All right, I will drive you there immediately.” The driver was flustered and started the engine.
Upon reaching the hospital, Fang Xinxin gave him a small tip for his services.
She then helped Gu Linyuan with the admission process in the hospital. Of course, she did not offer to pay for his fees.
