“This…” Yang Fen bit her bottom lip. “I wasn’t able to reach you.”
“It’s much harder to meet Bai Qinghao than to meet me.” Fang Xinxin responded carelessly. “With your method of running into a moving car, if you had stepped in the way of his car rather than mine, you most likely would have been directly crushed under his wheels.”
When Yang Fen heard this, she immediately felt her goosebumps rising in fear. “Anyway, CEO Bai was very upset about the post I wrote. After I apologised sincerely, CEO Bai’s anger finally receded. Coincidentally, his phone was out of battery, so he borrowed mine to make a call. After the incident, we ended up having each other’s contact number. Yang Fen observed Fang Xinxin’s reaction as she spoke and looked for the slightest hint of anger. However, Fang Xinxin remained expressionless and did not reveal anything.

Furthermore, he had failed to contact you that night.”
She continued scrutinising Fang Xinxin’s expression. But the other party remained unmoved.

“Indeed.” Fang Xinxin responded., “That is why I didn’t look for you. I even spoke up for you when Bai Qinghao tried to take your life in revenge.” She smirked mockingly. “Otherwise, do you think you would have been able to stand here with your life intact?”
