Chapter 522: Saving Fang Group
“You already mentioned that I’m a criminal. How could I have a car?” Fang Shaohua responded. “This belongs to Xinxin’s. The car is also registered under her name.”
He had registered a new company and an investment account. This was all done under Fang Xinxin’s name.
“It’s fine if it’s registered under her name. I’ll just use it for a while.” Fang Lilan extended her hand to hold the car door handle.
“Quit having bad ideas!” Fang Shaohua shoved her aside.
His gaze was ruthless as though he was watching someone who was doomed to die. “I’m sure you understand how much I hate you. I’ve been charged with twelve years of imprisonment. It’s only been three years. I still have nine years remaining. My time in the prison is long. It doesn’t matter to me if this time lengthens. Besides, there’s a chance that my illness won’t be cured.”
Fang Lilan’s goosebumps rose with the way he was watching her. “You… what do you mean by that?”
Fang Shaohua smiled frighteningly. “Mom, since you love me so much, your son doesn’t mind dying with you. Alternatively, if my illness is cured and I don’t have to die, I don’t mind killing you and facing a longer prison term.”
She took in his murderous gaze and suddenly found him to be terrifying… he was dead serious.
“I was just making a joke. I’m really busy, I have to leave now.” She turned around and ran away hurriedly.
Fang Shaohua watched as he escaped. The mocking expression in his gaze deepened.

His crimes were yet to be cleared and his feelings were not reciprocated. This left him extremely exhausted.
Thus, there was no need for him to pretend to look like a patient.
As for that puddle of blood.
He had noticed early on that Fang Lilan was following him. Thus, he made a small cut around his elbow and kept a bit of blood in his mouth. After coughing it out in front of Fang Lilan, he successfully convinced that horrid woman that he was ill.

When Fang Lilan returned to the Fang home, she immediately tossed her bag onto the couch in anger.
Long Shuhai approached her and asked. “Lilan, did you manage to convince Fang Shaohua to coax Xinxin to help the Fang Group?”
“That criminal refused to do it! He even threatened to take me down with him now that he is seriously ill! I’m angered to death!” Her beautiful, middle-aged features nearly twisted in anger.
She panted heavily in anger.
“Mom, did you manage to find any information that can be used against him?” Fang Manxue also rushed downstairs to ask. “Fang Shaohua’s health has always been good. How did he manage to fall seriously ill?”
“It doesn’t seem like he was pretending.” Fang Lilan narrowed his eyes. “Perhaps he was really infected in prison.” She then asked her. “What about your scheme?”
“It’s over.” Fang Manxue fell back weakly against the couch. “Yang Fen previously went to the Yu Ting Villa to threaten Fang Xinxin and to scam a few hundred thousand dollars out of her. But I didn’t expect Yang Fen to be so useless. She didn’t manage to get the money and was even sued by Fang Xinxin for fraud. She has been imprisoned.”
Fang Lilan was astonished. “Will Yang Fen betray us?”
“No. She’s a terrible gambling addict. She owes several hundred thousand dollars of debt. Hiding in jail is much more peaceful for her than being on the run.”
Fang Lilan’s heart eased out. Her gaze turned vicious as she schemed. “We need to make Fang Xinxin return to the Fang home. She’s the only one that can save the Fang Group!”
