Chapter 202: The First Scene (2)
Fortunately, Director Jin was a famous director, and all of those who worked for him were competent.
All workers were in position less than an hour later.
Ye Tianxin and Yan Jun were meeting in the movie for the first time. They were also not familiar with each other in real life. That was why the scene was actually rather similar to real life.
Director Jin also had his own considerations. He could not let the two act in an emotional scene when they had just met. If he did that, Ye Tianxin and Yan Jun would not be able to cultivate any emotions toward each other and would likely not be able to achieve the effect he wanted.
The extras were already in their seats.
Ye Tianxin also took a seat. She wore a long vintage dress, and her hair remained pleated in two plaits down the side of her head. She held a book in her hand.
She lowered her head and read the book in her hand seriously. There was a white reflector board not far away in front of her.
This would help the camera to capture the image more vividly while filming, and the result would look nicer.
“Action.”
Director Jin glanced at Yan Jun. Yan Jun was wearing a white shirt as he ran into the carriage, in panic and rumpled.
After running into the carriage, he used the bathroom and changed quickly. However, his appearance did not change much. He just wore a black jacket over his clothes and combed his hair so that it was slightly neater and added a pair of gold-framed glasses.
He certainly looked better now. He walked up to Ye Tianxin calmly and said softly, “Darling, you’ve waited for me for long.”
Ying Tao was a little confused. Just as she was about to say something, Zhou Hong put his index finger against Ying Tao’s lips and said, “Yes, I was wrong. I should not have made you wait for so long.”
A few men approached the entrance of the carriage.
Zhou Hong noticed the men from his peripheral. He put his lips right next to Ying Tao’s ears and whispered, “Help me.”
Ying Tao’s face blushed instantly.
His fingertip was a little cold.
When he had put it on her lips, it felt as if her lips were kissing his finger.
He could hear a voice in her heart saying, “Yes, it’s him.”
This was the fateful first meeting between her and Zhou Hong.
Director Jin looked at Tianxin and Yan Jun behind the monitor. The camera angle was great, and the two were very young. They matched the age of their characters in the script well.
Their faces were filled with youth and vitality, and Director Jin could not help but anticipate their next performance.
After the first scene ended, Director Jin gestured for Ye Tianxin and Yan Jun to come and see him.
“Do you see what’s wrong?”
Ye Tianxin and Yan Jun both shook their heads. What had they seen?
There were no problems with their performance.
“You two have read the script. It is written in the script that the characters’ eyes met. Did you two talk with your eyes? Especially you, Tianxin. There were no problems with your performance earlier, but you’ve put yourself into a box. The feeling between Ying Tao and Zhou Hong should be that of love at first sight. You two have to make the audience interested in your story. Also, you, Yan Jun, your gaze isn’t right at this part…”
Only the conversations between characters were written in the script.
As the male and female leads, Ye Tianxin and Yan Jun had to exemplify the characters using these simple conversations.
If the script only had the conversation between Ying Tao and Zhou Hong, then the task Ye Tianxin and Yan Jun had to complete today was to make the characters come to life.
“Director Jin, I don’t really understand what you mean.”
Yan Jun knew how difficult it was to be able to act in one of Director Jin’s films. He had to treasure this opportunity.
