“I know that people would definitely be jealous of me because I went to the banquet with you,” Ye Tianxin said matter-of-factly.

“Well, why don’t you tell me why they are jealous of you?”
Ye Tianxin stood in front of Li Qingcang and enumerated her reasons, “First, Elder Brother Li, you are too good-looking. When an unknown girl like me appeared suddenly next to an extremely handsome man, people would think and wonder, ‘Where did this girl come from?’ People would form opinions about me, though most of them are biased and prejudiced, and they would naturally dislike me.
“Second, it’s because I look exquisite in this dress. Good-looking girls always evoke jealousy. That’s why it’s okay. The more jealous they are of me, the better I feel. Don’t get me wrong. Their jealousy validates how good I look tonight.
“Third, well, I danced with you—you only danced with me. I heard them saying that it was your first time dancing in public. Elder Brother Li, thank you for dancing for the first time…with me.”
