Ye Tianxin was very, very touched. It felt great to be alive. Everyone she met was a good, kind person.

The lady boss at the noodle shop was another.

“Thank you so much, Auntie Du. You really are the lucky star in my life.”
Du Juan reached out and ruffled Ye Tianxin’s lovely hair and said, “You’re like my daughter. If my daughter were still alive, she’d be about your age right now. Unfortunately, my daughter died at a very young age….”
“Auntie Du, let me call you my godmother!” Ye Tianxin lifted her small face and said softly, “I grew up without a mother. My Grandma was the one who raised me, with great difficulty. Ye Tianxin had called her Mama. That one word, that very ordinary word, made Du Juan burst into tears. She hadn’t heard that word for such a very long time.
