Ye Tianxin handed her phone to Li Qingcang. “Brother Li, help me set up a video call with Uncle Qi. Let’s prepare for the operation first.”
The academic discussion had to be temporarily suspended because of the phone request from Ye Tianxin.
The projector at the venue switched to the scene from the video camera inside the International Medical Camp.
Qian Wang’s palms were sweating the whole time. He knew that Ye Tianxin was a rare medical genius, but it didn’t matter how skilled she was; it was almost impossible to operate without a mentor.
He was very worried that something would happen to her, and that her fear and nerves would take over her.
“Tianxin, start by disinfecting her whole body thoroughly and make sure you’re wearing gloves. While you do that, ask the anesthesiologist next to you to prepare a suitable dose of anesthetics.”
“Tianxin, check how much the pregnant woman’s uterus has opened: is it three fingers or five fingers wide?”
Ye Tianxin had already put on medical gloves in the international medical camp. She held her hands up high and stared at Qian Wang solemnly.
There was an inexplicable look of panic and helplessness in her eyes.
She did not expect that her first operation would be performed under such dire circumstances.
She wasn’t even mentally prepared for this at all.
“Tianxin, believe in yourself. You can do this.”

The deep, steady voice of Qian Wang traveled through the operating room of the International Medical Camp.
“It’s no longer possible for her to give birth naturally. Prepare for a C-section.”
The male doctor nodded and signaled that the preparations were done.

That was when Ye Tianxin shut her eyes and felt her mind go blank.
She tried to shut out all her distracting thoughts.
With the help of Li Qingcang, she managed to cut open the pregnant woman’s abdomen horizontally at a particularly steady and slow speed.
Everybody in the venue fell dead silent. They were all on edge and holding their breath, even though they weren’t the ones performing the surgery.
Every single one of them was displaying a solemn expression.
The second cut wasn’t too difficult after the first one.
After her uterus was cut open, Ye Tianxin noticed there was no trace of amniotic fluid in the pregnant woman’s womb.
