Chapter 135: Trap
“Just act as if I never said it,” said Lan Xinyu, quietly lowering her head to eat her food.
Her grandfather said that Ling Chuxi was strong, wise, calm, and far-sighted… Was this true? Was this really truuuuueeeee? Why did Lan Xinyu feel that this description was not really reliable?! These words of praise and the foodie in front of her did not seem to even be the least bit related!

After lunch, Ling Chuxi cuddled Little White and went to take a walk in the streets with Ling Yichen. Xia Zhuoyi took this time to run home to visit Xia Rulin.

A woman’s pitiful voice was heard, followed by the sound of clothes being torn.
Ling Yichen’s face darkened. His hand was already on the sword by his waist. He looked at Ling Chuxi and said, “Let’s go and take a look.”
She nodded and followed behind him.
Entering the alley, they saw two men dressed in black. With their backs facing Ling Yichen and Ling Chuxi, they were tearing apart a woman’s clothes. She had a frightened look on her face as she struggled desperately with her arms crossed.
When Ling Yichen saw this scene, his face turned cold. Just as he was about to pull out his sword, the woman saw the two of them standing there. A light flashed in her eyes, and not knowing where she got the strength from, she struggled out of her attackers’ grasp and rushed towards them.
“Young warriors, save me! They actually dared to be so lawless and take advantage of me in broad daylight…” she screamed while running.
The two men seemed to be stunned as they turned to look at Ling Chuxi and Ling Yichen.
The next scene should be the one in which the hero saves the damsel and beats up the two vulgar men until they cried out. But instead….
The screaming woman arrived in front of Ling Chuxi and Ling Yichen. But before she even managed to touch them, Ling Chuxi decisively lifted her leg and ruthlessly kicked the woman in the stomach, sending her flying.
Coincidentally, the direction in which she was flying was towards the two men in black. The slightly dazed pair quickly regained their senses and stretched out their hands to slap the woman away. Finally, she landed on the ground, moaning in pain. No matter how she tried, she was unable to get back up.
It wasn’t just the two men who were stunned by Ling Chuxi’s actions, even Ling Yichen was stunned too.
Why did she do that?
Ling Chuxi snorted. “Such a terrible act.” Her face darkened as she looked at the two men in black.
“If you wanted to set a trap for us, at least find a woman of decent family background, and perhaps one that can act a little better. But here you are using a prostitute, and she still looked so happy while being molested by you guys. Do you really think that I’m an idiot?”
The faces of the two men changed instantly! They never thought that Ling Chuxi would actually be able to tell that it was a trap! Indeed, that woman was someone that they had found to act in their little ruse. The aim? To deal with Ling Chuxi and Ling Yichen!
