Chapter 274: A Tooth for a Tooth
The crowd started cheering as the two people in the fighting ring began exchanging blows.

“Thud!” An apple with a bite taken out of it ruthlessly smacked into the commentator.
“Who threw that?!” exclaimed the commentator. He was surprised and angry at the same time. He looked in the direction from which the half-eaten apple was thrown and saw himself staring at the fifth princess’ dissatisfied little face. His angry stance immediately weakened and he even forced a smile.
Immediately after this, other apples in varying degrees of rot and consumption came flying over. They came from members of the crowd who had placed their bets on Lan Xinyu. Originally, nobody dared to throw anything, but with the fifth princess’ lead, these people started throwing things at the biased commentator too.
The two commentators held their heads with one hand while pinching their noses with the other. They glanced at each other and very wisely chose to keep their mouth shuts.
In the fighting ring, E Shulan’s sword had already appeared right before Lan Xinyu and everyone felt as though their hearts were in their throats. Lan Xinyu remained unmoving and not even a trace of change could be seen in her eyes.
When the sword almost struck her body, Lan Xinyu suddenly emitted a dazzling golden light and a strong force exploded forth from her body.
The hand with which E Shulan was holding her sword sank and Lan Xinyu’s golden whip slithered towards it was a like an agile snake and coiled itself around the blade of the sword before unleashing a whirlpool of power that was channeled along the length of the sword.
Lan Xinyu’s move was extremely ingenious in both her method of Battle Qi usage and her grasp of timing and opportunity in battle. Under the whirlpool-like strength that was now coiled around her sword, E Shulan could no longer move forward.
E Shulan felt a jolt of surprise at this turn of events. She used the full force of her Battle Qi and tried to retreat. But, just at this moment, the strength in the golden whip ensnaring her sword suddenly disappeared, catching E Shulan off guard and her body flew backwards with a heavy blow.
A sneer hung on the corner of Lan Xinyu’s lips. With a motion of her hand, her golden whip tightened into a straight line as it whistled fiercely through the air, lashing toward E Shulan. The target was E Shulan’s face. Since E Shulan wanted to ruin her looks the first time they met, she naturally had to repay her wicked deed a tooth for a tooth.
Ling Chuxi who was watching from below smirked. This little girl, Lan Xinyu was really quite ruthless! However, she liked it! If it were her, she would also have done the same thing! Perhaps, she might have been even more ruthless!
