She could not avoid them, so Ling Chuxi walked towards the carriage.
“Miss Ling…” The envoy had a worried look on his face as he called out to Ling Chuxi. However, he did not know what to say in the presence of so many people.
“Don’t worry, I know what to do.” Ling Chuxi gave the envoy a reassuring smile and got into the carriage.
The envoy was very anxious. He looked on hopelessly as Ling Chuxi disappeared from sight and the carriage drove away. Ling Yichen patted the envoy’s shoulders and said, “Don’t worry. I know Chuxi well, and I know she will never agree to go to Ding Lin Country.”
“That’s right! Miss Ling is noble and faithful, there is no way she would she betray Nan Xia Country,” Li Shaoqiu declared passionately. Ling Chuxi was so strong and perfect in his mind.
“Yes, I’m overthinking.” The envoy smiled and nodded, but he still had a vague uneasiness in his heart. Wu Feng Hall… What kind of existence was that like? “Miss Ling, we have arrived.” The middle-aged man got down and drew open the curtains in the carriage for Ling Chuxi.

There was not a single person seen along the way, but Ling Chuxi knew that this place had the toughest defense system in Ding Lin Country, perhaps even surpassing the palace.
They passed through numerous corridors and courtyards before the man stopped at the door of one of the courtyards.
“Mister, Miss Ling has arrived,” the man called out softly.
“Miss Ling, please come in,” an aged but energetic voice rang out.
Ling Chuxi walked in. The courtyard was decorated in a simple and elegant manner. There was a pavilion in the center of the courtyard, with a regal Osmanthus tree growing next to it. There were small white flowers blossoming on the tree, giving off an alluring scent that soothed the heart.
There was a young man seated next to the stone table in the pavillion. It was Xiao Tianying.
“You’re here too.” Ling Chuxi was not the least bit surprised. With Xiao Tianying’s impressive cultivation, it would be odd if Ding Lin Country did not try to win him over too.
Xiao Tianying had not taken any injuries until he had used the Turning Cloud Gesture and severely depleted his Battle Qi. After resting for a while, his complexion had returned to normal. He looked at Ling Chuxi and nodded.
“Miss Ling, have a seat. I am the master of this residence, Ren Youran,” a dignified old man said to Ling Chuxi.
“Oh, why is Mister Ren looking for me?” Ling Chuxi asked in confusion, then continued excitedly, “When I found out that someone in Wu Feng Hall was looking for me, I – I was so excited that I did not know what to say!” Ling Chuxi’s eyes sparkled as she pretended to look shocked and overwhelmed.
