Chapter 471: Didn’t Give Me a Chance
“Let’s go. I’ll bring you to see the clan head,” said Su Yizhen.
Once the old man finished talking, the crowd automatically stepped aside to open up a path for them to pass. Ling Chuxi and Ling Yichen followed Su Yizhen into the village.
“I want to go too, I want to go too!” pleaded Jiang Wuhen who stuck onto them like a piece of sticky candy. He would only get beaten up if he continued staying here after Ling Chuxi and Ling Yichen had left.
Seeing as the old man did not say anything and the other people did not strike out at him, Jiang Wuhen got away once again.
“Big Brother Yanyu! Big Brother Yanyu has come back!” Right then, someone in the crowd shouted out in delight.
Ling Chuxi heard the shouting and subconsciously turned her head. She saw a young man appear at the entrance of the valley and walk over toward them. It was obvious that his legs were floating and weak as he staggered and fell onto the ground.
“Yanyu!” The expressions of the few old people around them changed and they swooped swiftly towards the young man. Other young men also followed after them and lifted the young man named Yanyu back up.
“Yanyu… Big Brother Yanyu. What’s the matter?” A concerned group of people surrounded Yanyu and asked him questions all at once.
Su Yizhen had also turned around. Very quickly, he fed a medicinal pill to Yanyu and then waved his hand. A few golden needles appeared in his hand and he pierced them into the young man’s meridians as quickly as lightning. His method of using the golden needles was to go in accordance of severity, and his speed was appropriate to such an application. It was unlike Ling Chuxi’s technique of using golden needles to soothe meridians containing a particular aura. But in the midst of the modesty of Su Yizhen’s method, there was a beautiful feeling of returning to one’s original nature about it. He was above Ling Chuxi in terms of his precision in recognizing the points to pierce and the awe-inspiring way he pierced his needles.
Ling Chuxi secretly admired him. This old man clearly had an extremely high accomplishment in terms of medical skills just based on this method of using the needles alone.
“Second Grandfather, how is Elder Brother Yanyu?” A healthy and ruddy looking young maiden asked worriedly. Tears which were so clear there wasn’t any trace of impurity in them glistened in her eyes.
“He has sustained heavy injuries and he’s even been poisoned,” said Su Yizhen as he tore open Yanyu’s clothes with a swift move. A jade green chest wound which was so deep, Yanyu’s bones could be seen was uncovered. Even the blood which was seeping out of the wound had turned green. There was a mysterious fluorescence surrounding it.
“Who was so vicious to have struck such a blow?” rebuked a few of the old people surrounding Yanyu angrily when they saw his wounds.
“If I am not mistaken, it should be Life Transforming Hall,” interrupted Jiang Wuhen.
“Life Transforming Hall? And how do you know this?” Everyone turned to look at Jiang Wuhen with unfriendly expressions.
“We met them on the way here and nearly died at their hands. You can ask those two if you don’t believe me. I came back this time to tell you guys about this,” said Jiang Wuhen as he pointed at Ling Chuxi and Ling Yichen. In actuality, Jiang Wuhen was the one who nearly died at the hands of those sent by Life Transforming Hall, and it had nothing to do with Ling Chuxi nor Ling Yichen. But of course, Ling Chuxi would not be so silly as to stand out in this situation by offering this explanation.
“Why didn’t you tell us this earlier then?!” barked Su Yizhen angrily. It was clear he did not doubt Jiang Wuhen’s words this time.
“I wanted to, but you guys never gave me the chance,” Jiang Wuhen said aggrievedly.
“Well, who asked to you do so many bad things in the first place?” retorted the innocent young maiden who had tears in her eyes earlier as she glared fiercely at Jiang Wuhen.

“You are obviously a thief,” said the young maiden.
“Picked.”

“Stop bickering!” bellowed Su Yizhen loudly. He proceeded to make an incision in Yanyu’s wound and sprinkle on some medicinal powder. Then he used his Battle Qi to force the poisonous blood out.
The green color of the wound started to fade. The poisonous blood which had been forced out had also recovered its normal fresh red color. Su Yizhen’s expression paled slightly, a sign that the exhaustion brought on by this procedure was not little .
“Second Brother, how is Yanyu?” asked another old man. The other elders had not taken any action earlier on as they were not too clear on Su Yanyu’s condition.
