“Brother Su, I don’t know what you are talking about.” Naturally, Qiu Gaohe would not admit to anything.
Ling Chuxi stood behind Su Yizhi and at this moment, she peeked her head out and mouthed a few choice words at Qiu Gaohe: ‘Shameless, despicable, foolish pig.’
“How dare you actually scold me as such?! Is this the kind of upbringing befitting Rejuvenation Hall?!” Qiu Gaohe was not an idiot. Of course he could clearly understand the words Ling Chuxi was mouthing at him. He roared in response and flew into a great rage all at once. How dare this girl actually scold him like that!
“Brother Qiu, I don’t know what you are talking about,” replied Su Yizhi with a frown, unable to understand at first. But upon hearing Su Xiu’er’s suppressed laughter from the side and turning back to look at Ling Chuxi’s expression with all seriousness, he seemed to have understood something. But of course, he would never admit to it.
“Qiu Gaohe, do not slander my disciples. They are perfectly transparent in all their actions unlike the despicable scumbags of Life Transforming Hall. As long as I, Su Yizhi, am still alive, you will never ever have the chance,” said Su Yizhi with disdain. Ling Chuxi suddenly felt that Su Yizhi seemed to have the potential to turn evil too, huh. He had started to tell lies with his eyes wide open. Look at how he had spoken so righteously and justly, saying to not slander his disciples despite knowing what was really going on.
“Su Yizhi, you think too highly of yourself. This time, you will know what it means to be beaten by a person beyond person and sky beyond sky,” retorted Qiu Gaohe. Since Su Yizhi had already made this falling out with him so open, Qiu Gaohe’s expression also turned cold.
The both of them did not speak further. Qiu Gaohe walked towards the group of people from Life Transforming Hall.
A group of them stood at the entrance of the mountain valley. It seemed as though they were waiting for someone. Each of them wore expressions which were unusually solemn and respectful.
From the distance, a woman dressed in white with a slender and graceful figure was approaching slowly. She was accompanied by four exceedingly beautiful maidservants.
Though she was walking on flat ground, she appeared to be stepping atop clouds. She landed silently but yet it sounded as though the tinkling presence of fairies filled the air. She was curvaceous and graceful, with movements like the flying motions of the wind and as calm as duckweed floating upon the water.
She had a white veil covering her face, but despite it, one could still see her flawless facial features. The pair of eyes beneath her dark, well-defined eyebrows shone like gemstones from the heavens, as pure as they were cold.
Even Ling Chuxi had to admit that this woman had a unique charm to her. She was beyond this world and gave people a feeling that they could do nothing but to admire her. Of course, that was the case for other people. Ling Chuxi did not need to. She had full confidence in herself.
The disciples of the Su Family were also dumbfounded. They either wore expressions of complete admiration or shame for how their unclean appearances. The girls more or less clearly felt inferior to her.
Actually, it was not really about how beautiful that woman was as no one could even see her real face what with that veil covering it. It was just that the visual of her being set against four beautiful maidservants, coupled with her elegant and refined bearings, made it easy for people to imagine her as a peerless, extremely beautiful lady whose looks could topple cities. And the sight of her partly hidden, partly visible face through the veil gave off an even more mysterious vibe that made people become lost in wild conjectures.
“What a goddamn poser. She’s just covering up her face with a veil for fear that other people will know how ugly she is,” drifted in Jiang Wuhen’s voice suddenly and abruptly in the midst of the quiet crowd.
Ling Chuxi had the same feeling as Jiang Wuhen. No matter what she looked like, such a curated appearance and such a display of splendor coupled with that face veil, it really made her look like a goddamn poser indeed. Ling Chuxi naturally categorized her together with the likes of Ye Qianhe and E Shulan. They all had something in common—they were all goddamn posers.
“Exactly. Why cover up with a face veil in broad daylight? Putting on such an act to appear mysterious to the point of deceit!” agreed Su Yanhua and the others around them who were awakened by Jiang Wuhen’s words.
Jiang Wuhen was very touched. So much so that hot tears were brimming in his eyes, about to spill over into tears. This was the first time that he had gotten approval from everyone like this! Ahhh!
