Chapter 818: Bathe Together?
Little White squatted on the table at Ling Chuxi’s right, and Duan Xiaomo sat at her left. As for Little Red, it was now squeezed next to Duan Xiaomo. It was furious but could only glare at Little White as it sullenly ate a couple of mouthfuls of rice. The others looked calm and continued with whatever they were doing, already used to this scene that would play out frequently.
Night came and Ling Chuxi took her clothes, preparing to bathe. After her bath, she wanted to change into her silk night robe that was specially sewn according to her drawings. It was simple and loose, and was very comfortable when worn. The hot water had already been prepared by someone earlier, and Ling Chuxi hummed a tune as she waved at Little White and Little Red. “Come on, you two, we will bathe first. Only after you both are clean can you sleep on my bed.”
Little Red had just taken a step forward when he suddenly felt his back go cold. His entire body shuddered and he slowly turned around to see Little White behind him, looking at him with an extraordinarily scary gaze, as if it wanted to skin him alive.
Little Red puffed his chest out and started squeaking furiously. ‘Do you think I am afraid of you?! You are a wild beast coming from who knows where, and yet you dare threaten this young master! Don’t think this young master will be afraid of you! This young master will…’ Little Red very spinelessly shrank backwards and averted his gaze as Little White narrowed its eyes menacingly. ‘… let you do as you wish.’
Little White looked down on Little Red in disgust as it slowly walked past him. When it was right in front of him, it swiftly kicked out with its hind leg, and Little Red was sent rolling out the door.
Ling Chuxi did not notice what was going on as she was testing the water temperature.
“Alright, Little White, come take a bath.” Ling Chuxi turned around and hugged Little White, then put it into the bathtub. She lifted her head, then looked around and said helplessly, “What is going on with Little Red? It’s always unwilling to take a bath with me. That monster beast is definitely a male, and sure knows how to be shy. Little White, are you male or female? You’ve never been shy around me before, so you must definitely be a female.”
When Little White heard Ling Chuxi mention that Little Red had never taken a bath with her, he felt relieved. However, hearing the words Ling Chuxi spoke after, he nearly fainted. How could she come up with such a deduction?!
After Ling Chuxi and Little White had finished bathing, Little Red returned. Its body was still a little damp, and it was obvious that it had already taken a bath.
“Where did you go to take a bath?” Ling Chuxi scooped up Little Red and used a handkerchief to wipe his damp fur, asking even though she knew she would not get an answer.
