Chapter 947: Was the Legend True?
“Senior Uncle Yue, did she die just like that?” asked Yuan Hui cautiously as he caught up with Yue Qingjie. He didn’t even notice that he had regained his mobility.
“Even if she doesn’t die now, she won’t be able to live for long. Alright, let’s go quickly. Don’t let anyone see us,” said Yue Qingjie ambiguously as he quickened his pace.
“Then do we still need to call the elders over?” Yuan Hui was puzzled, but he knew that no matter how much he asked, Yue Qingjie wouldn’t say anymore, so he asked about another matter.
“Why would we call them over? What are you thinking?” Yue Qingjie glared at him and inwardly cursed him for being an idiot. At this point, Ling Chuxi had already disappeared. Why would he call the elders over? Did he tell others that he had led Ling Chuxi into the forbidden area and caused her body to be destroyed?
“Nothing. Nothing happened here either. I’ve never been to the forbidden area. How would I know what happened?” said Yuan Hui when he finally got his wits back.

Just as Yue Qingjie threw out the beast bone, Little White’s eyes narrowed. A thought similar to Ling Wushang surfaced in its heart, “Could it be that the legends are true?”
Then, a strong turbulence surged over. Little White jumped out from Ling Chuxi’s shoulder as the halo on its body circulated and formed a defensive barrier around them. It was like an invisible light cocoon, protecting the two of them.
