They enjoyed the afterglow for almost ten minutes before they decided that it was time to have dinner.
Mars opened his eyes and smiled broadly. He turned to Emmelyn and rubbed her hair lovingly. "Aren't you hungry? Do you want to eat dinner?"
Emmelyn nodded and then opened her eyes. She moved her face closer and kissed his lips. "I've got my appetizer, but it's not enough. I have to eat a lot for this little one."
Mars felt really happy when he heard her. Gosh! How perfect was this?
He had always been the one asking her to eat and eat, and now he no longer needed to do it. Emmelyn took the initiative to eat more!
He loved this change! Not only did she take initiative in sex, but she also became in tune with things that he wished she would do. He would love to see her finding something to keep her busy indoors and she found sewing.
He didn't want to chain her to his castle, but being a first-time father, he was worried about every single thing. He didn't want to take the risk of her getting hurt or exhausted.
That was why he begged her to stop training with his men. However, he didn't want her to feel bored inside the castle with nothing to do. He almost thought of getting her some rabbit as pets or something that she could rear indoor to keep her busy.
So, when he saw her enjoying a new hobby, making baby clothes, handkerchieves, and other sewing projects, he was so relieved.
Now, Emmelyn even started to eat more without him need to say anything. In the past, she would always accuse his good intention of getting her to eat well as him trying to fatten her for the job of giving birth to his children.
That was true too, but that was not the main reason. He just loved her so much that he wanted to give the best for her, including food and comfort, and whatever he could provide for her.
"I had a good appetizer too," Mars replied with a smirk. "Now, I become so hungry, I can eat a horse."
"Ahaha.. well, let's get dressed."
Emmelyn kissed his cheek and rubbed his hair before she got up and climbed down the bed. She took her torn dress and turned to the man. "Tsk... look what you've done to my dress."
"Ahaha.. I'm sorry, honey, I was too overwhelmed by lust earlier. I was too impatient to unfasten so many buttons. I will be more careful next time." The prince cleared his throat. "I think you'll need many new dresses anyway.. Those in your closet won't fit in a matter of months."
Emmelyn lowered her head and looked at her flat tummy. Gosh, that's right. She forgot that usually pregnant women would gain so much weight that they would look like a cow.
She wondered if she would look like that too. Thinking about this made her purse her lips.
"Let's not talk about that," she said curtly. She put the torn dress on the table and got a new one from the closet and got dressed.
Mars was smiling when he saw her looking annoyed. Ah, she was a normal woman after all. She hated the talk about her weight.
The prince also got dressed and soon they both had left their chamber, holding hands. It was already dark outside, and they had dinner accompanied by several candles.
It felt so romantic after the beautiful lovemaking earlier. The sex was short but nice. Perfect as an appetizer. They ate heartily while discussing their day and their future plans.
"I will meet Gewen and Edgar tomorrow at our regular tavern in town. I also invited Ellena," Mars informed Emmelyn. "I hope you don't mind."
The girl shrugged. "Sure. I hope you can get the information that you need from her. Uff.. don't drink too much. I also want to drink wine with you."
Mars smiled when he heard her. He knew she was jealous that he got to meet people and had fun, while she was staying back, but didn't want to express it.
"I will never get drunk, so I can drink with them and come back home to drink with you before we sleep. Doctor Vitas said it's okay for you to drink a little wine every day, but not more than half a cup."
Emmelyn sighed. "I know. I was here when he explained those things to you."
"Great!"
Emmelyn cleared her throat when she suddenly remembered something. "Uhm, do you remember that Mr. Vitas advised us to do couples exercise? He asked you to find that lady who teaches something called... yoga?"
Mars batted his eyes. He just remembered. Ah.. that's right. He should find that lady and invite her to come and teach them how to do indoor exercise.
"Do we still need it?" He asked mischievously. "I mean... we do exercise every day. I don't think we have extra time and energy to do another workout. Ahem..."
Emmelyn nodded and smirked, "You are right. We shouldn't bother her. I think we are good."
They both laughed out loud and exchanged understanding glances.
"I love you!" Mars whispered. "I think, the more we spend time together, the more we think alike."
Emmelyn agreed with him.

After dinner was over, the happy couple spent an hour sitting on the sofa by their chamber window. The snow had fallen again that night.
The night was beautiful as the moon illuminated the scenery outside with white snowflakes falling down slowly. Emmelyn was sitting on Mars' lap as they both wrapped their bodies with a thick warm blanket.
"You still haven't answered my question," Mars said suddenly.
Emmelyn turned to him and furrowed her brows. She didn't remember him asking her any question that she had not replied.
"Which question?" she asked.
"When do you want to marry me? Before or after our child is born?" Mars replied.
"Oh..." Emmelyn finally remembered.
