Mars missed Emmelyn so badly, and he only wanted her to come home with him. To the king of Draec, nothing was more important than his family.
If, for example, Emmelyn refused to follow him back to Draec, Mars was ready to make the sacrifice to leave his homeland and stay with Emmelyn wherever she chose to reside.

"Yes, I will go home with you," Emmelyn affirmed her decision. "You or Harlow can have the relationship with your father if you two wish for it, but please don't ask me to see him and act nice. I cannot pretend like that."
"Yes, I totally understand," Mars nodded vigorously. "My father has built for himself a mansion in the countryside, quite far from the capital. He has been living there after my mother was presumed dead and was kept in the ice cave. He doesn't live in the royal palace anymore. You would never see him again."
"Okay..."
They were silent for a few moments. Both felt relieved that they talked about this important matter, especially Mars. He came all the way from Draec to Summeria with the sole purpose of getting his wife back.
Now that the mission was accomplished, he could go home with Emmelyn and Harlow and they would become a family again.
"Ahem... didn't you say you want to change into a nightgown?" Mars suddenly asked. He realized the night was really late now and he should let Emmelyn rest because she was still unwell. Her face was pale and he could feel her breath weak. "Can I help you change?"
Emmelyn nodded shyly. She didn't know why but her pale face suddenly flushed red. It had been a really, really long time since she and her husband became intimate.
Intimacy in this regard didn't just refer to intercourse, but also the physical intimacy when they were being so close like this... and he offered to help her change.
Uff... did she even look good? Emmelyn looked at herself and saw her bony arms and her frail physique.
Would she allow him to see how she looked underneath this dress?

Mars unbuttoned her dress from the very top, all the way to her waist, and then pull her sleeves out through her arms. Then, he helped her stand up so the dress could escape her lower body and drop on the floor.
Emmelyn was now only wearing her long undergarment. Mars gently sat Emmelyn down on the bed again. Then he went to the wardrobe and checked whatever nightgowns were available for her.
He found a really nice one, made of soft cotton in light blue. He grabbed it and thought it would look good on her. Plus, it was quite warm.
The temperature in Castilse was not a cold as in Draec, but it was still a night in spring after all and it could be quite chilly.
"What about this nightgown?" He turned around. "There are several others, but I think this one is quite warm. It's thicker than the rest."
If he was a bit more selfish, he would have chosen the nightgown made of silk at the bottom of the wardrobe. It would make Emmelyn feel cold when she slept and... ahem, he could offer his services to warm her.
But no... he got rid of the thought immediately.
Now was not the time to have dirty thoughts about his wife. Mars scolded himself and hurriedly buried the silk gown so it wouldn't tempt him to take a selfish action.
"That's good," Emmelyn nodded. "I will wear that one. Thank you."
Mars smiled happily. He helped Emmelyn put on the nightgown so she could sleep leisurely tonight. Again... if he was a bit more selfish, he would have done the work at a snail's pace, so he could touch his wife's body a bit longer.

She kissed Harlow's hair, her cheeks, and chubby arms, and she rubbed her belly. Harlow seemed like she was having a beautiful dream. She kept smiling and muttered something.
Ahh... Harlow was so, so adorable!
After Emmelyn was satisfied in admiring her daughter, she turned to her husband who was standing by the bed, and watched her and their baby together with a smile on his face.
"What about you?" Emmelyn asked Mars.
"What about me?" The man asked back.
"Aren't you going to sleep?" Emmelyn asked again. Mars nodded. She continued her question, "So, are you going to sleep in that outfit? Don't they give you clothes to change into?"
"Oh... that's right... they did," Mars scratched his head. "I will change now."
"Good." Emmelyn nodded in satisfaction. She added.. "After you change, you can join me in bed."
