Emmelyn and Mars didn't say anything when they met Gewen and Kira for lunch. They pretended they didn't know the two's extracurricular activities in the morning. The king and queen just exchanged knowing looks and hid their smiles.
"I want to take Kira to Southberry and see the farmers harvest their grapes," Gewen announced when he took the chair at the dining table and sat. "The vineyards are the most beautiful at this time of the year."
Mars nodded. He loved the vineyards in Southberry too. It was one of his favorite places in the world. It was very scenic, peaceful, and gave a calming vibe.
When he took Emmelyn there for their secret wedding, it was in spring and there were no more grapes left, even though the vineyards were still there. So, he, too, suddenly thought of taking Emmelyn there.
But Gewen already planned to take Kira with him to Southberry? It wouldn't be special anymore if Mars and Emmelyn had to share the view and the memory with Gewen and Kira.
He wanted it to be just theirs, to make it special.
Uff... but Mars didn't want to be selfish and tell Gewen not to go there this time because he wanted to take his wife to Southberry. Besides, Gewen came up with the idea first. Plus, as a good friend, Mars could see how much Gewen liked Kira.
This had never happened before in the 25 years they knew each other. So, Mars wanted to do good with his friend. He would support Gewen to win Kira's heart. What happened between him and Kira this morning was just a start.
Gewen still needed to foster the relationship he was developing with Kira and make sure the pirate princess would accept him completely. Spending a romantic getaway in Southberry would help a lot on this matter.
"That sounds like a great idea." Finally, Mars could only smile and nod his agreement. He turned to Kira and said, "You will love Southberry. It's actually one of my favorite places in the world. I wish I could take Emmelyn there soon, but we've got so many things to do here after leaving Summeria for a long time."
He looked at his wife apologetically. He hoped Emmelyn understood him. He loved her so much and wanted to take her to Southberry too, like he wanted when they just got together over two years ago.
Emmelyn smiled at him and gave him a slight nod back. She understood him well. She, too, thought Gewen and Kira looked good together. It would be nice to have Kira around if she decided to settle down here with Gewen.
Emmelyn could see her often and her children could have a relationship with Kira, calling her auntie, like what Harlow had been doing to Lily. This thought made Emmelyn so happy that her mood became so good.
"Yeah... I am not traveling anywhere in a foreseeable future," Emmelyn cleared her throat. "We have spent so much time on the road. Now, I just want to stay at home and enjoy a peaceful life."
"Good idea..." Mars wrapped his arm around her waist. "I'd like that too."
Gewen was very happy to see support from the king. He puffed up his chest and said to Kira, "I told you the place is really nice. Mars likes it too. We can go camping on this beautiful hill that overlooks the vineyards. We can do star gazing and many other nice things."
"Okay. Sounds good," Kira finally smiled. She looked especially attractive today, so her smile truly made Gewen feel smitten. He thought she had this glow like a woman after getting fucked well. Well... he could only thank himself for this.
This morning's session made his confidence return. He still had his skills in making women scream his name. He could tell that when Kira had that dreamy look in her eyes, she was thinking about the mindblowing sex they had earlier.

"Oh... good. We want to send you off to your well-deserved holiday," Mars said. "Today Emmelyn and I already have something planned."
"What is it?" Gewen asked. Before Mars replied to his question, Gewen suddenly palmed himself. "Of course! You need to make calculations with Ellena."
His voice sounded disgusted when he uttered Ellena's name. Gewen used to like that woman because they grew up together and were friends for a long time. That was until he realized what kind of person she was.
Ellena was a wicked woman, the vilest he had ever met. The thought that she could hurt Harlow and Emmelyn and also tried to kill Queen Elara in cold blood made him shudder.
"Yeah. It's time," Mars said.
"Ellena?" Kira looked interested. She turned to Emmelyn and raised a brow. "Is this the wicked wench who framed you for murder?"
Emmelyn nodded. "Yeah."
"Where is she now?" Kira's face was filled with anger. "I want to see her."
"She is in prison," Mars replied on Emmelyn's behalf. "I wanted to execute her from last year, but I wanted Emmelyn present to witness justice being upheld. Emmelyn is the main victim here. She deserves to see Ellena get her punishment."
"Can you take me when you see her?" Kira asked in an urgent tone.
Emmelyn didn't understand why Kira seemed so interested in seeing Ellena. However, she didn't have any suspicions, since she knew Kira really cared about her, and probably was just curious to see Ellena and wanted to make sure Ellena get punished for her crime.
"Oh, sure..." Emmelyn nodded. "We will go and visit her in prison after lunch."
"Great! I want to come."
