1047 Chapter 1047 “The Tea is Ready!“
"Interesting. Someone, bring me a cage, a blindfold and a black cloth" The emperor rubbed his chin as he looked at Li Shi Ying with sparkling eyes. The man hurriedly asked servants to prepare all of this in less than a minute.
The servants immediately rushed to get what the emperor wanted while Yan Fenghuang was actually panicking right now. She couldn’t be sure that Li Shi Ying’s beast really had the ability but if it did...

Those beasts couldn’t be treated like a pet. This was why there wasn’t a lot of pet in the higher realm. It made the prices of cute beasts increased by ten folds or so. Only someone as powerful as the empress could get any pet she wanted even mostly, an exotic one.
She got it either from the lower realm, the middle realm or at some part at the higher realm. Not all mixed-breed is ugly after all, yet still only 1 out of 10 born with good look.
Li Shi Ying ignored the people curious eyes toward her butterfly. The slowly put the beast inside a small birdcage the emperor prepared. "You know what to do, right? Don’t worry. You won’t be inside the cage for long" Li Shi Ying spoke to the butterfly via telepathy as she closed the cage door.
She felt a bit bad for putting her beast into a cage but what else she could do to turn the table?
"It’s an okay mistress. I will do my best!" The butterfly flapped her wings and glowed in sky blue light. It seemed that the butterfly answered the girl.
"Okay, now I’ll put the black cloth on" Li Shi Ying slowly covered the cage with the black cloth making the guests couldn’t look at the butterfly anymore. Even with their keen eyes they really couldn’t see anything. What more the butterfly?
After putting the cloth, Li Shi Ying went back to the table. The girl took the blindfold prepared and asked Long Ao Zhen for help to put it on her. While Li Shi Ying was getting her preparation done, Old Zhu had begun to prepared which poison he would use.
Li Shi Ying had just finished getting blindfolded when Long Ao Zhen’s voice rang right next to her ear. "Are you sure this will work out?" The man asked with a worried voice. Li Shi Ying couldn’t see anything and none of her beasts told her what happened but she could vaguely guess what kind of face Long Ao Zhen had now.
"It will. Believe in me, okay? Nothing bad will happen" Li Shi Ying whispered to the man in a low voice. Her voice was gentle and warm instantly erased Long Ao Zhen’s worry.
"Okay, I’ll believe in you" Long Ao Zhen spoke. The man stroked Li Shi Ying’s back before returning to his own seat with a poker face as if nothing happened between the two of them.
Li Shi Ying giggled realizing the man’s kind act by stroking her back. Somehow she felt even more confident than before. This case...she would solve it and later she could finally truly live in peace.
Right after Long Ao Zhen sat down, Old Zhu spoke in a loud voice giving an announcement to the others. "The tea is ready!" Old Zhu had put the poison inside the tea served for Yan Fenghuang. Somehow the old man didn’t dare to put it into the other royal family’s tea so he put it to Yan Fenghuang’s tea instead.
The guests all saw what Old Zhu did and couldn’t help but silently laughed among themselves. To thinks that there would be a day when Lady Yan was treated like this. Well, she deserved it! That lady had always been arrogant just because she was the strongest candidate to be the crown princess.
Now she was nobody and could sit there just because of the empress still pity her, no wonder Old Zhu choose Yan Fenghuang!
Yan Fenghuang herself couldn’t hide her embarrassment. She saw that Old Zhu put the poison to her tea it means he didn’t mind offending her than offending others! Was she so low in this old hag’s eyes?? Why not put it to Li Shi Ying’s tea instead?!
Yan Fenghuang tightened her fist but her face didn’t change at all. She had to endure. The one who will laugh at the end would be her!
