1255 Chapter 43 Jiu Wei love story
Arriving in front of the door, the maidservant bowed politely, "Young miss, we are here, " the maidservant said with a shy smile on her face. After saying her piece, she quickly retreated so that Baihu Sei could get in.
Seeing the door in front of her, Baihu Sei nodded to the maidservant before opening the wooden sliding door. The creaking sound coming from the woman’s action immediately startled the people inside the room, mainly Baihu Lei and the husband candidate.
Baihu Lei was the first to notice Baihu Sei’s arrival. Even before the woman stepped in, the young man already stood up from his seat. He immediately rushed toward the door once again making his silver sleeves fluttered in the air.
"Sei!" The young man happily called for the woman. Once he was in a really close distance with the woman, Baihu Lei casually took Baihu Sei’s hand and escorted her like a true gentleman. He looked like a proud father about to send his daughter away.
Baihu Sei couldn’t help but smile seeing his brother action. With a slight nod, the woman let her brother led her to the round dining table prepared for their dinner feast tonight.
Surely there would only be the three of them as Baihu Lei intended to give a chance for these two people to get close with each other.
Baihu Sei approached the empty dining table and immediately, she saw the back view of a man wearing dark purple clothes. There’s a golden embroidery on his clothes making the man looked lavish and mysterious at the same time.
She only saw his back view and already knew that this man was really someone influential. Baihu Sei quietly observed her husband candidate starting from his hair even though she hasn’t seen his face yet.
This man had his dark purple hair loosened casually unlike other men she saw before, once again showing his characteristic. This man should be someone who didn’t really care for appearance. Maybe he’s easy-going?
Baihu Sei didn’t hate a cheerful or easy-going man as long as he’s loyal so this man already scored 1 point in the woman’s eyes. Not to mention that purple hair looked similar to a certain friend. This made her feel at ease for some reasons.
Baihu Sei had just about to continue her observation when her brother actually disturbed her by calling the man.
"Qiqi, come here, this is my sister, the one I’m talking about!" Baihu Sei let go of Baihu Sei’s hand as he cheerfully approached the man. He knew that this man was quite shy so he didn’t approach his sister when she came here earlier.
It’s okay, I would be the cupid between you two so...fighting!
Right after Baihu Lei spoke, the mysterious man slowly turned his head around. His heart was pounding in his chest, truly feel nervous. The man coughed to ease his nervousness and finally completely revealed his face to Baihu Sei after he turned around.
Both parties were expecting to see the other party’s face so they couldn’t help but held their breath once they finally met face-to-face but then, the moment Baihu Sei saw the man’s face, her eyes widened and her jaw dropped to the floor.
Baihu Sei’s cool expression she had before, turned silly in less than a second as the man also had a similar reaction.
The man subconsciously covered his mouth as he stared at Baihu Sei’s face. That look in his face, he looked super shocked to the point of losing his voice. The man only lifted his trembling finger and pointed it at Baihu Sei.
"Y-you...you...it is you??"
Once his words dropped, Baihu Lei stared at the man with a silly expression. He looked at Baihu Sei in no time and also saw that the woman had the same expression as the man, her husband candidate.
Both of them...were shocked!
Baihu Lei saw this two interaction and couldn’t help but feel confused. Their reaction looked like they had met each other before?
The lord of the continent looked back and forth as he asked for clarification, "Hey...do you know each other?" Baihu Lei carefully asked the man as well as his sister. He took a good look at these two’s face, not wanting to miss even a single detail.
Hearing the question, both Baihu Sei and the man couldn’t help but react. They looked at Baihu Lei almost simultaneously and both of them spoke almost at the same time.
"I know her!"
"I know him!"
The two people blinked in confusion as they looked at each other again, trying to figure out what’s going on here. Baihu Sei was already thinking that her brother is pranking her or something.
She probed the man in front of her, questioning him in silent using her gaze alone but the young man also did the same. Both of them wanted to know what exactly is going on here while a certain big brother...didn’t know anything.
So his sister and her husband candidate have met before? But why looked so surprised to see each other? Wasn’t this a good thing ah??
Just as Baihu Lei was about to ask, there’s a knock on the door along with a male servant’s voice calling for Baihu Lei.
"My lord, the border guards came and they bring the guest you requested," the male servant spoke in a calm tone but still respectful, "The guest is already waiting for you at the main hall, " the servant didn’t enter the dining room and just waited outside.
Hearing this, Baihu Lei suddenly stopped talking. His movement paused abruptly and his face slowly turned a bit stern.
