1263 Chapter 1 Mao Mao Love story
This story took place before Li Shi Ying came back, also when Long Ao Zhen was still ruling as the emperor. Mao Mao was still a teenager.

"Mao Mao, you should take a rest..." Baihu Sei looked at the teenager sitting in front of her and couldn’t help but sigh. She was busy taking care of the prince and the Princess but to think this young man was also as busy as her.
Baihu Sei watched Mao Mao doing some documents spread out on the dark brown wooden table. The teenager’s head was lowered as he focused on doing his work.
Seeing that the teenager didn’t hear her words, Baihu Sei stepped forward, "Mao Mao!" the woman shouted, "You haven’t take a rest for a long time already!"
Baihu Sei scolded the teenager. Her eyes reddened seeing such a young boy had to do all this work when he was still only 15 or 16 years old.
She herself was already about to reach 30 so it’s okay for her to do hard work nurturing the 10-years old prince and princess but Mao Mao...he was still too young!

Her heart ached for this young man. With a faint voice almost whispering, Baihu Sei spoke again, "...please...take care of your body..."

Mao Mao opened his mouth slowly,
"Big sis, I’m okay, don’t worry, " the teenager then flashed a bitter smile as his eyelashes fluttered gently. His handsome refined face looked especially bright being kissed by the sunlight coming from the window behind him.
His melodious and slightly childish voice rang throughout the room, calming Baihu Sei’s heart. Still, the woman frowned when Mao Mao didn’t obey her and continued to work instead.
Baihu Sei slammed the working table as she half-yelled at the teenager, "Okay, your head ah! Lately, you only sleep for 3 hours and you also skipped lunch!" the woman bit her lips as her body trembled.
Startled, Mao Mao flinched a bit but then he shook his head, "You think too much, big sis, I’m really okay, " the teenager said without looking at Baihu Sei. He ignored her and continue to check the documents spreading on his table.
There was also a tower of paper at his left and right side, sandwiching him in the middle. The teenager was really almost buried by stacks of paper.
Seeing this, Baihu Sei looked at the teenager in front of him with a pained expression.
Such a lot of work...and this brat said he’s okay? He’s not!
One might not realize anything wrong with Mao Mao as he looked as healthy as ever but if they looked closer, they would notice his pair of eyes lacked lustre. His gaze was slightly blank and hazy. His cheerful, cute self also slowly turned into a calm, mature man when he was still so young.
This wasn’t normal! Mao Mao used to be so cute and energetic. He always brought positive energy around him, warming everyone’s heart but now...he looked like he’s forcing himself to be a mature adult.
His aura changed. He looked a lot darker and sometimes he’s frightening, just like his majesty.
Baihu Sei couldn’t help but covered her eyes with her right hand seeing the state this child had became. Everyone was mourning for mistress’ departure and Jiu Wei’s death but...

This thought alone made Baihu Sei almost cried. She got reminded of Jiu Wei again and it wasn’t good. Trying to hold back her tears, Baihu Sei bit her lips but her shoulder was still trembling. Tears started to flow out of her eyes.
Mao Mao immediately noticed Baihu Sei’s trembling body from the corner of his eyes and the young man couldn’t help but sigh. He had to stop whatever he’s doing. The sound of a brush touched the hard wooden desk echoed before the young man stood up.
He quickly approached Baihu Sei who was in the middle of crying. The young man slowly tip-toed so he could reach Baihu Sei’s face. With a soft, angel-like voice, Mao Mao whispered weakly, "Big sis...don’t cry...I will rest, okay? Don’t cry..."
The young man bit his lips seeing Baihu Sei silently cried. He really didn’t feel tired or anything just a little exhausted but Baihu Sei was really overprotective ah. Losing Jiu Wei made her scared of losing the others too.
Feeling guilty, Mao Mao hurriedly wiped Baihu Sei’s tears using his sleeves. The young man saw the woman was still hiccuping even though she tried hard not to cry. With a faint sigh, he spoke again, "I will eat, I will eat now, okay?"
He could feel Baihu Sei’s meticulous care and couldn’t help but feel touched. Baihu Sei had always been the one taking care of him the most.
’She even cried because I won’t rest!’
Mao Mao thought in his heart. The young man desperately tried to stop Baihu Sei from crying and his last sentence made the woman revealed her face behind her sleeves. With reddened eyes, the woman softly spoke, "R-really? You will eat now?"
This brat has to eat and take a rest! Else he will die sooner or later.
