1266 Chapter 4 Mao Mao Love Story
Fen Wén stayed still watching Mao Mao did all his work and 15 minutes passed by she became agitated. The girl peeked at Mao Mao and silently thought.
’I want to do something to help Mao Mao but...what can I do?’
The girl bit her thumbnail thinking hard about what to do so she could at least appease the young man. He didn’t accept her to be his personal servant, right? Then she had to do something in order to be accepted!
Fen Wén contemplated for a while before an idea came to her mind. A smile flashed through her delicate face as the girl slowly tip-toed toward Mao Mao not wanting to disturb him.
Right when she arrived next to the young man, she looked down and bit her lips, trying to speak something but was still hesitating to do so.
Thus, only after a few seconds passed by she poked Mao Mao’s shoulder and whispered in a faint, gentle voice right next to Mao Mao’s ears, "Uh...master..."
Fen Wén’s words had just come out from her mouth when Mao Mao’s body turned stiff.
His right hand stopped moving and his ears slowly turned red. The young man’s shoulder trembled making Fen Wén who saw this, couldn’t help but worry.
"Master?? Are you alright? Did I make a mistake somewhere..." Fen Wén hurriedly distanced herself from Mao Mao thinking that her dragon aura pressured Mao Mao or something like that. She just saw the young man’s face was red...could it be he got a fever?
Master is sick??
Fen Wén’s mind already ran everywhere when Mao Mao shook his head and coughed, trying to ease his heart, "No, I’m okay. Don’t worry, just..." the young man paused and sighed, "Don’t poke me..." he paused again and covered his left ear without looking at the girl, "And don’t whisper next to my ear."
Mao Mao rubbed his left ear and hastily resumed to do his work. His warning sounded so gentle and somehow it confused Fen Wén who didn’t know what’s going on.
’Eh? I can’t poke his shoulder? Can’t whisper too?’ The girl thought and instantly, her face turned cloudy. So she disturbed Mao Mao again even though she had purposely lowered her voice and just poked him as to not disturb his work?
The girl didn’t think that her so-called method of not disturbing Mao Mao was actually a huge disturbance.
Fen Wén had the urge to cry. She just wanted to massage Mao Mao’s shoulder...but...
Fen Wén sighed. The girl cancelled her plan and walked weakly toward the door. It’s better for her to leave and come back when it’s lunchtime or something.
Mao Mao really didn’t need her help.
Just when the girl silently walked to the door, Mao Mao instantly noticed what she’s doing.
Raising his head, Mao Mao glanced at the girl who wobbled toward the door, looking down and a chuckle escaped his mouth. He didn’t say this girl should leave but she already wanted to leave on her own?
Mao Mao thought that this should be good for him but seeing Fen Wén’s gloomy face, he couldn’t let the girl left just yet. She looked like she wanted to do something but was interrupted by what he said before.
Just right before Fen Wén opened the door to leave, Mao Mao’s voice suddenly sounded in the room, "Wait." His voice was quite loud, startling the girl.
She quickly turned around and with a bitter smile, lowered her head, "Y-yes?" the girl spoke in such a faint voice that almost couldn’t be heard. She already lost her cheerfulness and looked like a wounded little beast instead.
This view softened Mao Mao’s heart. He knew that Fen Wén was around his age so he shouldn’t be too harsh on her. Maybe...he could treat her gentler next time.
With this thought, Mao Mao coughed and looked straight at the girl’s direction before politely asked, "Can I get a cup of tea? I’m thirsty, " the young man smiled and without saying more, lowered his head focusing on the papers again.
’...what?’ Fen Wén’s eyes widened in shock. She abruptly raised her head only to see the young man looked like usual, writing and signing something as if he never said anything at all.
But...he asked for a tea, right?
Fen Wén rooted to the floor, dumbfounded. Her mouth formed a big ’O’ looking silly. Mao Mao who noticed that there’s no movement from the girl looked up again and tilted his head coolly. With a clear, spring-like voice, he said, "Hm? You can’t make tea?"
His voice sounded like sarcasm but since his voice was that of a young teenager, he didn’t seem threatening and instead, sounded a bit teasing. He looked like a little devil but actually was a really shy panda.
Startled and excited at the same time, Fen Wén was flustered. She quickly bowed and replied in a shaky voice, "N-no, I can! P-please, wait a minute!"
She didn’t wait anymore and immediately rushed to the kitchen leaving Mao Mao alone at his office.
Seeing the girl was so energetic just to make a cup of tea, Mao Mao could only shake his head, sighing before resuming his work. He still got a bunch of documents that he had to finish.
5 minutes later....
"M-master here is the tea!" Fen Wén put down a cup of hot tea on Mao Mao’s working table and stood anxiously across him.
’I made the tea...but will he like it?’ She thought anxiously.
