1272 Chapter 9 Mao Mao love story
Fen Wén bit her lips and abruptly stood up. With a red face, the girl spoke, "E-enough! Don’t talk about Mao Mao anymore!" she shouted. The girl felt somehow embarrassed, irritated and confused at the same time.
The girl looked at the maidservants around her with her chest moving up and down. Steams raised from her head making her face red in less than a second.
Seeing this, the maidservants around her stopped teasing Fen Wén. They instantly shut their mouth afraid that they went too far in teasing Fen Wén.
The girl who first brought up Mao Mao’s topic immediately apologised, "F-fen Wén sorry, I’m just joking, okay?" she flashed an awkward smile feeling nervous that Fen Wén looked mad.
At first, she just wanted to probe things between Fen Wén and Mao Mao out of curiosity but she didn’t expect the girl to react like now.
It seemed that Fen Wén has a special feeling for Mao Mao?
Thinking like this, the girl immediately apologised again, "H-hey forgive me..." she glanced up to see Fen Wén was pouting, refusing to speak.
She looked like she’s really mad this time. Fen Wén had always been a kind girl who always had a smile on her face so to think she would sulk like now.
They went too far!
Realizing this, the girls awkwardly found a reason to leave the resting room. One by one left in hurry leaving Fen Wén alone with that one friend who teased her.
Seeing that the others had left, Fen Wén finally forgave her friend, "Okay, I’ll forgive you as long as you don’t bring up Mao Mao’s name again in the future!"
Fen Wén folded her arms as she spoke like that. Somehow she didn’t want to hear Mao Mao’s name from these girls. She just didn’t want to. Selfish indeed but Mao Mao was her master, it just felt weird when others talked about him in front of her.
Being forgiven, the girl immediately nodded and swore, "Y-yes yes, I’ll not bring up his name anymore, " the girl fidgeted before also finding a reason to leave Fen Wén.
She hurriedly went out leaving Fen Wén alone after she created the gossiping mess before.
Feeling tired the girl sighed, "Damn those girls..." Fen Wén cursed the gossiper girls as she slowly sat down. She didn’t think that those girls would talk about Mao Mao and even teased her like that.
"Hhhhh...what to do..." Fen Wén sighed once again and propped her elbow to the table. Her heart was in a mess when those girls just teased her a bit.
This...must be because the one those girls mentioned was Mao Mao, someone she admired a lot. The incident made Fen Wén thought about her own feeling to Mao Mao.

Thinking like that, the girl thought hard of a way and after a few seconds passed by, an idea came to her mind.
"This is it!" Fen Wén exclaimed happily as she stood up. The girl’s black eyes were sparkling in excitement. She hurriedly went to Mao Mao’s office as lunch break had ended.

"Excuse me..." Fen Wén knocked on the door politely, waiting for Mao Mao to let her in.
A second after, a soft voice of a young man sounded from inside, "Come in." His voice was calm and serene somehow calming Fen Wén’s chaotic heart.
The girl hurriedly slides the door open and entered. She walked slowly toward Mao Mao’s working table and upon seeing the young man had cleared up the lunch she brought before, a smile appeared on her face.
"M-master, you have finished lunch!" Fen Wén said merrily. The girl rushed to take the empty plates while being cautious not to touch anything on Mao Mao’s table aside from what she should touch.
Hearing the girl’s happy tone, Mao Mao casually nodded, "Yes, I have to eat properly else Aunty Bai will beat me up again, " he said jokingly yet his focus was still on his work.
Fen Wén nodded in joy as she collected the plate and put it aside. Knowing that her master was in a good mood just by looking at the joke he made just now, the girl felt even more confident to do her plan.
She stood a meter away from Mao Mao’s table and peered at the young man’s face, waiting for the right time to speak. The girl didn’t speak at all and just stood there watching Mao Mao from quite a close distance.
Somehow Mao Mao who was focused on his papers could still sense Fen Wén’s fiery gaze on him. The atmosphere suddenly felt heavy and awkward as no one had ever looked at his face for so long as this girl here.
Unable to hold back any longer, Mao Mao put down his brush and looked up. With a bitter smile on his face, he softly asked, "What is it? Why are you looking at my face so intensely?"
His calm, slightly childish voice sounded so warm in Fen Wén’s ears but the girl still got a heart attack. Startled, she flinched and with a stutter, answered, "T-that...I..."
Her heart beats fast and sweat began to cover her palms. She had been waiting for this chance so she shouldn’t be nervous!
"Yes?" Mao Mao tilted his head and propped his chin, calmly waiting for Fen Wén to speak.
Gulping, Fen Wén opened her mouth and said.
"W-will you go to the festival tomorrow?"
