1305 Chapter 42 Mao Mao Love Story
Tian Rong put her hand on Mao Mao’s shoulder while the young man held Tian Rong’s waist. Their other hands were intertwined together.
The sound of Guqin and flute sounded at the background added with a soft beat of the tambourine. It created perfect waltz music, classy and elegant.
The ’couple’ began to move to back and forth, to the left and to the right. Once in a while, Tian Rong’s skirt would flutter beautifully amazed the girls around.

’Where is she?’ Mao Mao gritted his teeth and a chill ran down his back. He didn’t know why but his heart was pounding hard in his chest.
He got a bad feeling since he didn’t see Fen Wén.
The young man was thinking when a soft, graceful female voice rang next to his ear.
"Emm...Lord Mao..." Tian Rong leaned closer to Mao Mao so she would whisper.
Mao Mao flinched and subconsciously stepped back. The young man glared at Tian Rong without opening his mouth.
Sweat instantly dripped covering Tian Rong’s forehead yet the girl refused to back down. Straightening her back, she looked straight at Mao Mao’s eyes and spoke.
"I have to apologise for my unsightly behaviour at the carriage this morning." Tian Rong pursed her lips and formed a bitter smile.
"I know I shouldn’t do that, I’m sorry, I was just following my father’s instruction..." Tian Rong spoke again without waiting for Mao Mao to respond.
She didn’t need his forgiveness. As long as the guy didn’t put his hatred to Tian Family!
Hearing this, Mao Mao paused a bit but didn’t say anything. He just kept the dance going as to not make anyone suspicious.
Tian Rong bit her lips. She opened her mouth once again, "About this engagement..." the girl’s words trailed off as her hair fluttered in the air.
"I think your excellency will annul it in no time." The girl stopped dancing for a second as she looked at Mao Mao with a helpless smile.
Mao Mao’s hand on Tian Rong’s waist stiffened. The young man’s face hardened and this time he slowly spoke.
"How do you know?" His voice was deep and a bit threatening, sending a chill down the girl’s spine.
"Because your excellency likes someone else, not me." Tian Rong shook her head as she threw her gaze somewhere else.
Her eyes instantly found a petite figure of a maidservant at the very corner of the hall, blocked by the other noble girls.
The maidservant’s eyes were following their every move but as she watched them dance, one could see a deep pain reflected in those black pupils.
Tian Rong tugged her lips up and immediately retracted her gaze.
"You like your maidservant." Tian Rong added out of sudden, almost making Mao Mao stepped on her feet.
Mao Mao’s body turned rigid as his ear suddenly turned red. Even his neck and his face slowly flushed in no time.
"How?" The man gritted his teeth suppressing his embarrassment.
He had realized that he did have a feeling for Fen Wén but was it so obvious until this girl knew right away??
"Well, your gaze is always following her, how could I not know." Tian Rong laughed, showing her row of milky teeth.
The girl was laughing like the day was her happiest day while the man was blushing red, looking shy.
This was what the guests saw, including Fen Wén.
The girl clutched her chest tightly as she pressed her back to the wall.
’So...he is really engaged.’ Fen Wén’s eyes dropped low as she felt another pang to her heart.
Her gaze was filled with two figures, beautiful and handsome were dancing perfectly as if they were a match made in heaven.
The two of them were sparkling, looking like the most perfect couple in the entire higher realm.
"Why..." Fen Wén lowered her head and bit her lips. Her shoulder shook hard as her hand were clutching her skirt until it wrinkled.
