1322 Chapter 9 Xi Xue Love Story
Bíng Huo hurriedly called her owl, "Tou! Come here!"
The white owl immediately flew toward the girl and landed on her shoulder while tilting its head.
"Get bigger, I want to sleep in your embrace." Bíng Huo let the owl flew to the ground and waited until it turned back to its original size.
Once it was ready, Bíng Huo motioned the owl to lay down before she approached it.
Bíng Huo slowly caressed the owl’s tummy and her eyes instantly brightened. "So soft!" she shouted in excitement.
The girl then slowly laid down on its tummy while the owl used its large wings to cover Bíng Huo’s body.
His feather was really warm and soft, immediately made Bíng Huo comfortable in no time. The girl didn’t even glance at Xi Xue anymore and just slowly fell into a deep sleep.
"...." Xi Xue stared at Bíng Huo’s sleeping face and silently sighed.
’That owl really looked like a good spot to sleep.’ The young man thought but somehow he felt a bit irritated inside.
"She can always use my arm though..." Xi Xue subconsciously muttered. The young man was silent for a few seconds before covering his face.
"Am I really so desperate, ah??" He half-shouted but his voice wasn’t loud, afraid that the girl would wake up.
Xi Xue punched his own tummy and decided to sleep even though he was literally a night creature.
’I want to sleep in the afternoon!!’ The man cried in his heart but he could only endure it.
This was the lower realm, humans place. If he slept in the afternoon, he won’t be able to find any mate. Most of the sacred beast also adopted human’s lifestyle so it couldn’t be helped.
Just like that, the two of them slept peacefully until the next morning.
6 a.m
"So...are you going to take the entrance academy exam now?" Bíng Huo patted her clothes and fixed her hair as she asked at Xi Xue who was standing behind her.
"I heard the test start at 6." Xi Xue nodded.
"Well, the test actually starts at 7 but because there are a lot of people, they usually come early to be tested first." Bíng Huo clipper her hair with a male jade hairpin before turning around.
"But don’t worry, you have me!" The girl grinned from ear to ear.
"What do you mean?" Xi Xue only tilted his head innocently.
’This girl can help me?’
"I told you I’m a student there and quite a respectable one." Bíng Huo rubbed her nose with a gleeful smile on her face. "I can recommend you to be tested early!"
Xi Xue raised his right eyebrows and laughed. "Really? That sounds awesome." The man then suddenly bowed to the girl. "Please take care of me, senior sis- brother."
Seeing Xi Xue acted so polite even though he was obviously stronger, Bíng Huo’s face turned red.
"Why are you polite, ah? You gave me this owl so I should repay you." The girl stroked the white owl’s head as it stood on her shoulder.
The owl still kept its small form just to be convenient.
"Well, you will be my senior brother. So I’ll have to be polite to you." Xi Xue winked, sending an arrow to the girl’s heart.
Bwah! This is lethal!
Bíng Huo coughed and immediately changed the topic. "Let’s go now? Should we go on foot or use my owl-"
"On foot is okay. I’m a beast tamer, no beasts will harm me." Xi Xue patted his chest with a confident smile. "Hurry, stay close to me!"
The guy suddenly grabbed Bíng Huo’s wrist and dragged her with him. He acted so fast that Bíng Huo didn’t have time to refuse.
"Eh, eh!!" The girl shrieked but Xi Xue didn’t mind it. He ran as fast as he could while still holding Bíng Huo’s wrist. They were at full speed so they exited the forest in just 5 minutes.
"Huft. We are out." Xi Xue slowly released Bíng Huo’s wrist and wiped his forehead. The man’s back was facing the girl so he didn’t see the poor maiden was panting hard behind.
Her face was so red, sweat already drenched her back and she looked like she was about to die.
Die from exhaustion.
"Hhh...hhh...you..." Bíng Huo pointed at Xi Xue’s back and the man immediately turned around.
"Yes? What about me?" He tilted his head, not knowing what he did wrong even after seeing the girl’s state.
Bíng Huo clutched her stomach and took a deep breath a few times before her heartbeat slowed down.
She then lifted her head and glared. "That was too much ah! You were too fast!" Bíng Huo shouted, not caring if the people around looked her way.
They were at the street bustling with people so her loud voice instantly attracted their attention.
"Ah, sorry, sorry. It was my first time doing that." Xi Xue laughed while squinting his eyes. "Next time, I’ll go slower, okay?"
"You better be! And how could you do that without warning??" Bíng Huo hit Xi Xue’s chest while still panting. "I was so shocked okay??"
"Ah, did it hurt?" Xi Xue immediately looked down at the girl’s wrist but others around him thought he looked at another part.
"Well, yes, look! I can’t even move it!" Bíng Huo showed her red wrist and continued her complain. "You are too rough, seriously. You know I’m not as strong as you, right-"
Bíng Huo suddenly paused. She glanced around and saw the people were looking at her with their jaw dropped. Some frowned in disdain.
