47 Chapter 48 “Gathering Force“
While Mao Mao and Li Shi Ying had a good time talking with each other, Jiu Wei was busy gathering ’force’ for Li Shi Ying.
Not far from the cave, Jiu Wei was standing in his human form in front of a bunch of divine beasts and high ranked beasts.
"My people! I have something to tell you guys. All of you must have know that yesterday a dragon prince, a mythological beast from upper realm have come here to my cave" Jiu Wei started his speech with some information.
Divine beasts and high ranked beasts who gathered there nodded their head in unison. They indeed know about it because Mao Mao told them so when he asked them to gather food ingredient.
Although they asked in their head why did a dragon moreover a prince, came to this lowly realm and even as far as visiting a sacred beast cave in this small forest, these divine beasts and high ranked beasts didn’t dare to ask Jiu Wei about it.
They only asked Mao Mao and Mao Mao didn’t give them a clear answer so all of them were very curious about this event.
"In fact his highness come to my cave, it is because of his wife! His highness the prince come to save his wife who is currently sick." Jiu Wei continued his speech in beast languange.
When the beasts heard what Jiu Wei said, all of them started to murmured with their friend.
"What?? a dragon wife?? how could she be in this kind of place??" a high ranked pink panther asked in disbelief.
A divine beast silver wolf by the panther side added a comment "I heard that the wife of his highness the prince is a human girl!"
"Yes yes also she was crippled!" another divine beast in the shape of horse chipped in.
"Aish where did you guys heard of it??" a wise and calm white deer divine beast shooked her head when she heard her friends gossiped.
"I know it from Mao Mao. He said he have to take care of his first human friend who was currently being taken care of by his honour Jiu Wei-sama in his cave!" a divine beast in the shape of a giant white mammoth gave them the proof.
Jiu Wei waited until all of them had finished talking before resuming his speech
"As all of you said, it is true that his highness the prince wife is a crippled human girl. Because of that his highness assign me a very noble task to protect the girl and serve her. Think! doesn’t this mean that i serve a member of a mythological beast royal family?? Even if she is a crippled human she is still a dragon wife which is the same as a princess consort!" Jiu Wei said all those long sentences in pride. His eyes flashed with excitement and he raised his head high arrogantly.
All divine beasts and high ranked beast there gasped in surprise. Indeed! They didn’t think about it before. Isn’t this mean that Jiu Wei-sama had gain a chance to serve a mythological beast royal family princess consort??? What an honour!
Those beasts were kind of jealous toward Jiu Wei but they didn’t utter a single comment. They all knew that Jiu Wei was the most powerfull one among them. So it was natural for the dragon prince to asked Jiu Wei to protect his beloved wife.
They began to fret over themself. They really want to be the one protecting the princess consort!! Huhuhuhu.
Fortunately Jiu Wei gave them a hope. "Nah my purpose here is exactly to provide you all with a chance. I intended to gather 10 divine beasts and 2 high ranked beast as a group of her highness princess consort protector!"
When all the beasts there heard of it, they shouted in excitement. 10 divine beasts and 2 high ranked beast had a chance to gain this honourable job!!
There were over 40 divine beasts and 200 high ranked beast in grave forest and all of them was brimming with excitement. They had a chance to compete for these position as her highness princess consort protector group!
Then they would be the most elite divine beast and high ranked beast among their race in lower realm. Duh! They couldn’t wait to rush over and asked Jiu Wei how could they be selected over.
Jiu Wei nodded his head happily seeing those beasts reaction. Now he only needed her highness princess consort to wake up and selected the beast she wanted by herself.
"Calm down all of you. Her highness will select her protector group by herself so we only need to wait untill she wake up to choose among you guys who will take the spot consist 10 divine beasts and 2 high ranked beast. Prepare yourself" Jiu Wei waved his hand and with a jump of his leg, he went back to the cave.
He wanted to check on wether Li Shi Ying had woke up or not. Also he should create a lie to make her choose those beasts as her protector without revealing the fact that Li Shi Ying was a dragon prince wife.
