938 Chapter 938 “War Against Souls“
The group had just gone in when the trees from the entrance suddenly moved. The roots lifted from the ground and the branch became long. In no time without sound at all, the trees suddenly attacked Xi Xue and Jiu Wei who was at the very front of the line.

"Watch out!" Xi Xue who was the first to saw the tree movement pulled Jiu Wei behind him and unleashed his power attacking the tree. Hearing Xi Xue warning, everyone stopped walking. They looked at their surrounding while some watched the ground afraid that there would be something appearing from below.
"What’s wrong? What happens?" Li Shi Ying took out her talisman as she asked. She didn’t see anything and couldn’t see anything at all so she could only rely on others. Even after using ’light’ talisman, it could only brighten her surrounding for a bit.
The girl didn’t see the tree attacking Xi Xue and Jiu Wei at all but the other beasts saw it with their eyes.
"It was a moving tree! The tree is attacking Xi Xue and Jiu Wei" Mian Xiang who was right behind Li Shi Ying, answered her. The girl raised her hand and a chunk of sand appeared from her palm, ready to assist anytime.
"They can handle it" Long Ao Zhen squinted his eyes sensing a movement from another tree beside them. The man immediately launched a secret attack, piercing right through the tree’s trunk where their heart laid.
The man even did this without anyone knowing. No one realized that all trees surrounding them already fell one by one and rot on the spot in less than a second.
"Ah they’re fine" Mian Xiang nodded agreeing with Long Ao Zhen when she saw Xi Xue and Jiu Wei went back to the group again with body unscathed at all. Both of them managed to kill the living tree without much difficulty.
"Mistress it’s done. We can move again" Jiu Wei bowed while reporting that they could move forward again. The herb was located at the centre of the forest and they were still at the entrance. They better hurry!
"Okay let’s go" After making sure that the people behind were there, Li Shi Ying commanded everyone to move. The group moved deeper and this time Long Ao Zhen used his dragon aura continuously.
He detected a lot of beasts were eyeing them so using his aura he simply chased them away once again without anyone noticing. At this point, the group hasn’t seen souls anywhere just yet but when they arrived at the area with firefly, only then they saw countless human souls floating everywhere.
"Oh God this is like a whole town" Li Shi Ying saw a soul of a middle-aged cultivator passing through a tree very casually. Another soul went by but none looked at their direction.

"Is there a way to pass through this ocean of souls without getting noticed?" Li Shi Ying didn’t dare to let everyone enter the soul area. They all stayed behind the border as to not be noticed.
"Sadly there is none. Even using invisible talisman is of no use. Souls have keen senses more than cultivators" Jiu Wei shook his head as he bit his lips a little. He also had the same thought as Long Ao Zhen.
There would be a lot of souls of people they killed unable to move on, residing here. From the start how many people died...that Feng siblings, their whole family...and then another sibling they found at Qi Tou’s area...the sect master...the people they battled with after Di Yu joined...
Li Shi Ying first huge war. A lot of cultivators died there along with the leader of the gang. It was possible that the souls would gather here!

"Yeah that much that’s why please get ready for bloody battle" Li Shi Ying gulped nervously. She let Xi Xue and Jiu Wei entered the soul area before she too followed behind. Long Ao Zhen also assisted Li Shi Ying as the others entered the soul area one by one side by side.
There will be a second big war happening soon...war against souls!
